Staff is extremely unhelpful. Today I spent 45 minutes walking thoughout the store looking for the one item I needed and there were no staff available to help me. I had to ask cashiers and people at the cut counter and all of them either didnt know where to find the pattern paper, or they pointed me to a different location in the store, where I could still not find the item. This is the third time I have gone to this location looking for something without any help from staff, after consistently looking for guidan. They need to get it together and work on aiding customers better. Eventually a cashier stepped away from her register and walked me to where the pattern paper was, yet they were out of stock. I ended up putting down my items and leaving after all the frustration. Heres a tip. If you dont know where to find what you need in this store, then go to a different location where people are more eager to help you.

I thought the actual store was okay, they had the products I wanted for my kids so I was happy about that. Professionalism of the staff (lady named Carol) I was not impressed with, there was a line of about 3 and there was one cashier and Carol who came in to help out with ringing customers up. Over her walkie talkie thing she called another worker and in front of all the customers she tells the other cashier "Well customers come first" she sounded angry at that time but then when the other employee came up to ring customers up, Carol continued belittling her and told her she should have come right up to the front of the store, I was embarrassed for the worker and disappointed in Carol, as she was much older than the other worker and should be setting an example. Word of advise from a great nurse, you are always a reflection of the company you are employed by, show respect and kindness.

I was shopping for wedding decorations and other things for my wedding. I had my then 7 month old and two cousins shopping w me. Well I took my daughter out of her car seat and I noticed she needed a diaper change due to a blowout. I asked for the key to the bathroom so I could clean my her up. I get in the bathroom and there wasnt a changing table or anything for me to change her on. I ended up putting toilet paper all over the floor before I used my own changing pad to put my daughter on. I then had to kneel and change my daughter on the floor all while she was crying because she was cold, dirty and laying on a dirty floor. Not one employee apologized or offered to help in any way.

I havent run into any rude people at the registers, all have been very friendly, and helpful, but there is in fact one very rude woman at the fabric cutting table. How she is still employed there is beyond me. Shes snappy at best with her co-workers, and on a good day she acts like shes doing you a huge favor by doing her job. Ive become convinced this is simply her personality. I think people need to tell the manager about her. I avoid her like the plague.

The clerks at Joanne in Roseville are working hard, but the company apparently doesnt believe in providing service because this store as well as the Maplewood Store is always understaffed. Their coupons are not really helpful, because you cant really get a super deal because everything is so completely overpriced and then they rarely let you use a coupon on a sale item. I dont think it is the sales clerks problem, I think the COMPANY has a problem.

Okay experiences at this location. Its a little frustrating , especially when its very busy, that returns wait in the line with purchases. I understand that its company policy (and is the same at Michaels, etc.), but the first time I had to make a return, the staff member (who I found out later was a manager) was incredibly rude in relaying this information to me. I anticipate this has since changed, but I do avoid this location if I can.

I know next to nothing about upholstery so it was extremely helpful to have a knowledgeable person assist me in the fabric department. It can be difficult to walk into a store for projects that are outside of your expertise but I was helped by a gentlemen that took great care with ensuring I had the proper materials to complete my upholstery project. Definitely five stars for service!

Honestly, Ive never really had a problem with this Joanns location. Its just that when I have a question for a staff member... I cant always find one haha. But otherwise I usually shop here, especially when they have deals. Just something about Joanns that I like. They match prices with their online site too I believe? Which is great..

I dont frequent the place very often on my own, but if she needs to go to Jo Anns we go. Its not too bad although the line at the cut counter can be insane if its during a holiday season of any kind. Im actually just happy to see people still out there buying fabric and patterns and making stuff.

While no one was rude or surly, they were very understaffed. I waited 20 minutes at the cut table and another 25 at the check out. JoAnn Fabric is over-priced with very few significant sale items. Go to Hancock Fabric.. better service and better deals.

Decent fabric shop with a huge selection of, well, fabric. Poor selection of other craft things. I was also looking for colored paper tape/masking tape and they didnt have any. Had to go to a different craft store. Service was slow but very friendly.

I will never purchased from this company again, not only you have to wait in the store, but also online!! It takes them ridiculously four business days to get the order out of the door and it still isnt shipped, I had to cancel my order at the end.

Frequently understaffed. Wait in line for fabric for 20 minutes and then wait in the cashiers line for another 20 minutes. We spent more time trying to buy things than it took to pick them out. They need to optimize their checkout process.

Both clerks (at the register, and at fabric table) were extremely unfriendly and rude. The funny thing is that there were only a few people in the store at the time. They were not helpful and seemed to feel imposed upon by customers.

Very disappointing selection of fabrics & notions that are overpriced. The staff is overworked, and not knowledgeable enough for serious sewing. The lines are always long and the organization of goods and store layout is awful.

At this time of year, there are a lot of people checking you out or cutting cloth, but no one really there to help you find things. Unless you want to stand in line to the checkout or to get cloth cut you are on your own.

Waited 1/2 hour and could see I had another 1/2 at LEAST to get fabric cut, so I left. Once the fabric was cut there would have been another long wait at check out. Understaffed is an understatement.
