Ive had two very unpleasant experiences at this store in the last two days. One with a manager named Brad and another with someone working in the print area named Simon. Lets start with Brad. I brought an item to the cash register and when Ralph rang it up the sale price did not come up. Just then Brad walked past and Ralph held up the item to catch Brads attention. Brad clearly in a hurry and annoyed asked "what" and when Ralph stumbled with what he was trying to ask Brad became highly annoyed and stated "what what just say it" and then barked some commands about the cash register. Rather than get barked at again Ralph turned the display so Brad could see it and Brad stomped off to get the correct price without saying a word. I was stunned and Ralph was clearly embarrassed. What a lack of common courtesy and respect Brad showed to this employee and myself. The fact that Ralph is clearly in his mid 70s made it even more heartbreaking. Brad I can only hope that when you are that age some impatient little man such as yourself treats you with as much disdain and disrespect as you showed Ralph. Maybe then you will understand how out of line you were. Regarding Simon. I came in to ask what type of "postcard" style mailer was available as I had had such great success with some business cards I had printed there recently. Right of the bat Simon stated that he would need my artwork and he would have to send them out to be printed. I politely asked him if since I designed my business cards right there and they were printed while I waited was that an option and if so what was the price range? He very begrudgingly went to the computer and started to look at the web site. I then asked him if he was familiar with the pre made templates. He ignored the question and quickly went about filling in blanks and clicking on items. After about 30 seconds he said he would need to send them out. I again asked him if he was familiar with pre made templates that could be printed there and amazingly I had to prod him again to get him to confess that he was not familiar with the products available. I dont think Simon could have been any less helpful. He clearly was not interested in helping me. I thanked him for being so unhelpful and called him lazy and walked out. A store where the manager treats co-workers with such disrespect and employees are so unengaged is not my idea of helpful. I can always order these products online from other vendors or go to other retailers.

Honestly the worst experience Ive had in any retail store. I went in the morning looking for a specific pen set. When I didnt see it on the shelf I asked an employee walking by if he could help me. He shrugged and walked back to the pens with me, looked at the shelf, glanced over his shoulder at the other shelf and proceeded to then flounder around, not even picking up anything to examine models or names. He didnt even LEAN IN to see if it was on the shelf. He did this until I, fed up, just said I would come back. I dont know if this gentleman was brand new and honestly didnt know how to help, or just didnt care. But I was very unsatisfied at his lack of interest. He didnt even ask me the name of the product, or offer to look and see if it was in stock. He did not ask me ONE question. This may not be every customers experience but if I am cordial and friendly toward someone the least they can do is be kind and at least smile in return, let alone try to help.

No hours posted online, had to use google search because store locator on their company website wouldnt work. Was waiting for them to open in their parking lot one morning and saw an employee spend 20 minutes "destroying" the trash. Literally smashing every tiny item with a steel mallet, and slashing the cushions on a leather desk-chair with a box-cutter. Responsible companies donate useable materials to non-profits and charity thrift shops, officemax pays employees to ruin things so they are 100% sure to go to waste. Want my business? Spend less time and effort making trash to kill the planet and more time making sure customers know when your store is open.

Thought I would post since the previous post was 3 years ago...The hours are posted online and in the doorway of the store. I shop here all the time and the staff here has always been helpful and they have everything that I need for my business. I even purchased my new Samsung Tablet there, RED! I am usually in a rush and often greeted soon after I walk in.

Nothing special; OfficeMax is OfficeMax. Great cashier customer service. Amazon is cheaper very typically and for a while (not sure anymore) they didnt price match to Amazon like Best Buy does, but they price match to Best Buy, and Best Buy pretty much mirrors Amazons prices nowadays, so if you know the cards to play, this place is alright.

I went to Office Max on a Monday afternoon- there was approximately 5 people in the store. I had 10 party invitations that needed to be cut to size and the guy looked at me and said....Yeah- I cant get to that until Wednesday. Really? 10 pieces of paper? Thanks...

Very dusty place. Bought a boxed item and there was a heavy layer of dust on the box and shelf the box was sitting on.
