I have been shopping at Ninos for YEARS! It is my go-to place when I want my event to be special ;-) I already love Ninos, but I had never ordered a cake from them before. I ordered one for my sons birthday and party. I spoke to Kristin. She was absolutely lovely and so helpful, patient and very kind. The cake was absolutely beautiful, so reasonably priced and by far and away the BEST cake I have ever had in my entire life! I have ordered cakes from all over metro Detroit, from Birmingham and beyond and it did not even come close to comparing to Ninos. I got the white cake with the whipped cream type frosting with strawberries on the inside. It was super moist, not too sweet and just perfect. Kristin, thank you so much for all of your help and your outstanding recommendations. I have been shopping there for over 16 years and have always had nothing but the best experiences. But I just could not get over how delicious and wonderful that cake was and how much everyone raved about it at our party. Thanks for making our special event, even more special. From your food to the flowers, you are top notch and I will continue to go to Ninos for all of my special events and will definitely be ordering more cakes ;-) Thank you again for this experience and for all of the great ones over all of these years! You are the BEST!

Everything at Ninos is EXCEPTIONAL! Right when you walk in you notice how clean the store is and nothing ever looks dirty or "not fres." The quality of their produce, meat, dairy, flowers, desserts and pastries, and the abundance of wine in their "wine cellar" would make anyone go back again! Plus, the cute manager/owner that walks around and always says "Hello!" to everyone is a plus! Ive never seen a manager or owner actually talk to customers the way he does! The store it quite large (I usually go to the one in Clinton Township) and if you dont go there often you can get a little lost or turned around, but the staff is always happy to point you in the right direction! I love how the store is set up like youre in an outdoor market somewhere in Italy! All of the diplays always look so good I just want to take everything home with me. The only negative thing I can think to say about Ninos is that the prices are much more than a super-market. Its a great place to go if youre looking for a different experience or dont want to go to Meijer or Kroger!

The deli manager, Roberta regularly harasses her employees. She calls them names and threatens them. My son, who has ADHD and disabilities has been bullied by her on numerous occasions. He advised her department that he had to go to the doctor today because of a chronic injury caused by Ninos old deli slicers. The doctor wanted to contact Ninos for a workmans compensation claim but my son didnt want to get in trouble so he paid for the appointment and the wrist brace himself. He went into work with the injury and she publicly berated him and threatend to reduct his hours because of his injury. I have since contacted an employment attorney and will take Ninos to court. Ninos should be ashamed of how this woman treats her employees. I was a regular customer at that store. I will never shop there again. You should not shop there either.

They are ridiculously expensive at times. I went to buy a small jar of mayo and they wanted over $4 for it. The same jar at Meijer is only $1.99 so now I only shop at Ninos if Im looking for a specialty item and not regular groceries. I also wish theyd list their ingredients and nutrition info on their prepackaged meals. Another issue is that I went there to buy a rotisserie chicken and they had no time stamps on them. I asked one employee and she gave me the scripted, "We cook our chickens fresh daily." Ok but the store opens at 8 am and its now 6 pm so "fresh daily" could have been 10 hours ago. Went to the deli and asked and they gave me the same exact scripted response. No one knows how long the chickens have been sitting under that heat lamp. Thats pretty gross.

Always high quality produce. This location is larger than some Ive been to and the store layout seems more ideal that others Ive seen. Produce prices are a little high but you get what you pay for here. As far as meat, the I think they offer fair prices on everything but the seafood. Ive gotten some nice fresh salmon steaks elsewhere for half the price of Ninos. The deli counter always has some of the basic lunch meats pre sliced and packaged so no need to wait in line most of the time. I generally only shop for fruits, veggies, and occasionally meat here. Other items can be purchased for better prices elsewhere. This definitely isnt a one stop shop for the entire grocery list.

We ordered over ten vases of flowers for a First Communion luncheon. The order was put in about a week prior to the event and they assured us that both the type of the flowers and the arrangements will be ready a day prior to the event. While the arrangements were ready, they were completely different from the style and the type of flowers we asked for. They managed to put the cheapest type of flower to fill the "not so elegantly arranged" arrangements. Since the event was the following day, we took the arrangements; and all the manager was able to do is to take $5 off although they put much cheaper flowers than we agreed on. Extreme disappointment.

The produce at Nino Salvaggios is the freshest, highest quality. The price is a little higher than other grocery stores, but is worth every penny more. I have personally watched the employees inspect each piece of fruit and each individual vegetable before it is placed on display for purchase. The prepared meals are delicious and taste fresh and home made. The meat department has the highest quality meat, and the employees go above and beyond to meet the requests of customers, every time I am there. If you want to shop at a market that offers something for everyone, with impeccable customer service, this is the place to go.

My husband and I love and frequent this place even though its not close to our home. We love the deli and if you want or need a specialty cake they have a display case full of beautiful, tasty cakes and tortes. Also, we love their coffee assortment. We are always trying different flavored coffees. Its not the cheapest place around, maybe not as bad as as the big chain specialty market, but its not cheap. Happy shopping!

Great store for fresh veggies. HUGE Asian veggie section and alot of hard to find items all in one place. Some items other than veggies are a bit pricy but that is to be expected at this type of a market. They have always been very accommodating, if something isnt out or not up to your own personal standards, they will do everything in their power to find what you are looking for or attempt to make it right.
