6/3/2017 I had THEE most horrid experience in here yesterday. I left in tears. I walked in behind a white family/and couple... there was a bunch of salesman sitting in front of the door. Everyone immediately greeted the people in front of me and offered them help. Not ONE salesman spoke to me or offered help. Ive never in my life been treated that way. I walked through showroom passing salesman and no one said a word. I went to back of the store in the clearance room in hopes of seeing a different salesman. I saw one and he looked me directly in my face and walked away. I know i had a rough day at work but geesh! I just bought a new condo and won $3800 the night before at the casino, so i was more than prepared and happy to furnish my place with my winnings. I went back into the showroom and started to look at a sectional and the same salesman that looked me in the face in clearance room came over to talk to me. I politely told him that I walked in here and no one greeted or offered to help me and when I was in the clearance room he looked directly at me and walked away, so i dont want your help. I went to the front desk and a nice young lady name Aiesha helped me the best that she could. I informed her that I didnt want any of the salesman on the to make a commission off of me. She informed to the manager of what happen. The manager did come to me and apologize. I knew him from a different VCF store. He sold me a 2300 mattress 2 or 3 years ago. He was very nice but became busy with the other salesman, so I left. My family and I have been buying furniture from here since I was a little girl. VCF is my go-to for furniture. Ive never felt so crappy and profiled in my life. I cried driving home. I guess I was the wrong color yesterday. And I seen pieces that I really wanted! But Im not gonna spend a dime with a company that has employees like this. This was by far THEE MOST horrible service Ive ever had!

STORE IS NOT CLOSED, in fact I just bought my entire bedroom set there. I purchased a mattress, box spring, headboard, footboard, dresser, and a mirror that attaches to the dresser. My fiance and I shopped for weeks before trying the Taylor Value City. We tried going to Art Van, Gardner White, American Freight, and many small name stores. In every other store we either felt like the sales people were pressuring us into spending far more than we wanted to spend (almost double our budget in some stores!), or they just did not take us seriously. When we walked into Value City, Sonny Cooper was immediately available to assist us. We told him what we wanted to buy and how much we were looking to spend. Sonny was down to Earth, reasonable, straight-forward, and an absolute comedian! He showed us exactly what we wanted and we had a terrific time while he gave us plenty of options within our budget. After we decided to make a purchase, Sonny walked away and gave us our space until we were ready to go find him and finalize the transaction. We were then informed that Value City was going to give us $50.00 off our final purchase price, AND a $100.00 gift card for our next visit. We are planning to go back and purchase some new living room tables soon! Value City is a terrific, clean, and reasonable store. Sonny Cooper is a straight shooter and he will treat you the way that you expect to treated by a sales consultant. Do yourself a favor... visit this store before you buy anywhere else. We are so relieved to finally be done with this task and we didnt even spend our entire budget.

Ordered a leather couch and picked it up a couple days later. When I got it back to my place I noticed that the left side had a tare through it. Disappointed, I immediately contacted the store and reordered another one of the same couch and was told I would be contacted when my new order was ready for pickup. I never received a call and after a week I called them and was informed that the order had been ready for a couple days. I promptly took the torn couch back and picked up the new one. When I got it back to my place I was surprised to see that under the protective wrapping was yet another, more severe, tare on the left side of the couch. Frustrated, I again contacted the store and was rudely met by one of the employees. After speaking with the manager I was able to establish an agreement where yet another couch would be ordered and this time they would take care of the delivery and return, but due to my couch being on back order I would have to wait a month. A month later, they dropped off the new couch and picked up the second torn couch. Before signing, I thoroughly inspected the couch and unbelievably on the left side of the couch was a slightly discolored patch disguising the fact that the couch has been repaired. At this point, I just decided to sign for the couch and discontinue any further business with this company and specifically this store. Worst customer experience of any kind Ive ever had.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Please take a minute to read my story. 5/28/16 - Purchased almost $4000.00 in Furniture and was promised it would all be delivered on 6/4/16. My salesman was Gabriel Lawson whom lied to me to close the sale.... My furniture was not even in stock. He knew that I would not get all of it on the 4th. 6/4/16 - I received only SOME of the pieces I ordered one of which was severely damaged (a dresser). After contacting the Taylor Store manager (Bob) I was promised that they would replace the damaged dresser and deliver the remaining furniture on 6/11/16. 6/11/16 - No one shows up to deliver the furniture or bothers to call. After yet again contacting the Taylor Store manager (Bob) I was promised everything will be taken care of on 6/14/16. 6/14/16 - Can you believe it... no delivery!!!!! At this point my husband and I are furious. We decide to just pickup the furniture, but wait it gets better. They will not allow us to pick up the replacement dresser. We are then reassured we will get the replacement dresser on 6/17/16. This time another Manager at the Taylor Store (Mark Anthony) made these promises. 6/17/16 - NO DRESSER AGAIN!!!!!!! I have contacted the Taylor Store AGAIN (speaking to Mark) and have gotten no response as of yet. I will NEVER purchase anything from Value City after this.

Several months ago I purchased furniture from Value City and had a horrible experience, I actually canceled the order and purchased the furniture at another furniture store. On Monday I went to the Taylor location to purchase bedroom furniture. There was a total mixed up with my delivery. I was not please with the customer service rep I spoke with on the phone, so I went into the store. I was extremely angry. When I got to the store the store manager Joe was there on his day off. I explain my situation and my anger with Value City and how my husband told me not to go back there. Joe was professional and showed me he cares about his customers. He promise to right the wrong of Value City and gave me his personal cell phone number to make sure I was taken care of. I left the store and within a hour Joe was calling me to tell me my issue was resolved. I understand mistakes happen but I believe it all about how the mistake is handled. If it was not for Joe I would have canceled the order. I am giving Value City - Taylor 5 stars based on how my issue was resolved and it was done in a timely matter. Great customer means a lot to me!
