My husband and I searched on line for a place in Michigan to purchase Indian clothes and came across Variety Silks. I called left a message which was promptly returned and within two hours we were at Variety Silks where we were met by Shanti the owner. We needed clothes for an Indian wedding and had no idea what to wear but Variety Silks has the most fabulous Indian clothes to fit the occasion. With Shantis knowledge and expertise on how to dress for an Indian wedding plus a wide assortment of beautiful clothes we quickly realize that we have chosen the best place to make our purchase. During the process of selecting and fitting our clothes we never felt rushed. Shanti calmly and gracefully showed the correct ways to wear Indian clothing and the ideal accessories to go with each outfit. She also took time to explain some customs and practices of an Indian weddings. Thank You Shanti for dressing us in such gorgeous outfits, you made our days at the wedding even more memorable. I google search "Indian clothing near Warren" and variety silks popped out in the map. I went to see some selection and this lady name Shanti walked me through and showed me different garment for women. I am from another culture and I have no idea what to expect; I am buying Indian clothes because last time one of my friend invited me on her sons graduation party and every women who attended that party were wearing sarees. I felt out of place but I enjoyed the gathering. So, here I am invited again for another Bangladesh gathering/party, and I asked if women are going to wear sarees. My friend say yep. My Bangladeshi friends did not know that I bought this pretty pink/golden garment at variety silk this afternoon and will surprise them tonight! I will post a picture tomorrow morning. I have been going to this establishment since January to plan my upcoming wedding. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about the establishment. 1. The owner is VERY professional and knows her craft very well. She helps those of us (including myself) who are unaccustomed to Indian fashions and has provided practical tips regarding wedding attire. 2. She goes out of her way to accommodate budgets of all sizes. Weve had financial constraints with respect to this wedding, and she has been more than happy to work within our constraints. She has not once tried to steer us in a direction in which we have not wanted to go. 3. She also goes above and beyond the call of duty in making sure we are satisfied. She has called me even after I left her store with ideas about our wedding garments even though she did not have to do this. In sum, I would recommend this store to everyone. You will not leave dissatisfied if you choose to shop there.

Just yesterday my husband and I enjoyed our first shopping trip to buy appropriate Indian clothing to wear to my friends Hindu wedding. The shop keep was so pleasant and easy to talk to. She was very skilled at picking out items for me to try on and was a very good salesman overall. She expertly balanced helping me with making sure all her incoming customers were also well taken care of. We spent over an hour there and she made sure I didnt leave confused or empty handed. She even sold me bangles to match my new outfit! The amount of colors, variety of current fashion trends, styles and sizes for men, women and children were astonishing. She keeps everything extremely neat and tidy too. This store deserves your business! Be sure to check it out soon!

We looked AMAZING at our friends wedding. Even the men were commenting on how well we wore the sarees and on the quality and uniqueness of our garment. Shanthi Veerappan helped us to fit them in such an elegant manor. Thank you so much Variety Silks, and well definitely be back. We are buying more of her fabulous collections as she has superb taste in representing the style for an Indian woman and for those of us who want to be respectful of their important life events. Our friend was overwhelmed and appreciative of our efforts to make his and his brides day as special as they deserved. Today, April 15, 2014, I picked up the beautiful sari I will wear for my sons wedding in May. I am VERY happy with the finished product! The proprietor, Shanthi, was so personally helpful to me right from the selection of the fabric, to the fitting and wrapping of my sari today, so I could see exactly how it will look on me for that important day. Being a bit unfamiliar with Indian dress and custom, etc.,I was made to feel very comfortable. Every question I had was answered with knowledge and beautiful understanding and patience. I am SO appreciative of my experience at Variety Silks. It is a beautiful shop, one I highly recommend to anyone seeking elegant Indian attire for any special occasion.

Excellent customer service! I went there to buy my Henna dress and told the owner what I am looking for, she found me exactly what I wish for even though it was something not any store would have. It looked absolutely breathtaking and negotiated price. She matched me accessories. They have a huge selection and for all ages. Even if she doesnt have ur size, she sent the top to Indian to make me one exactly like it but a bigger size. On the day of my party she also helped me wear it. Above and beyond satisfied. After the party I always kept in touch because this kind of vendor becomes close like family not just a vendor for ur party. Best of luck!

My husband and I were invited to our first Sangeet and had a desire to embrace the experience and dress in traditional Indian clothing. We had no clue where to start and the bride recommended Variety Silks, having worked with the owner in the past for her sisters weddings. Our experience was amazing!! The owner is wonderful to work with and her selection is breath taking. She dressed us beautifully - the fit for both of us was perfect. I was unsure what to expect with pricing but she worked with us, kept us within our budget, and also was more than willing to work within a short timeframe/turn around time. Awesome experience!!

Me and my cousins all bought our dresses from here. The owner was very nice, prices were very reasonable and dresses were all beautiful. Owner of the store even assisted us the day of the party. We all we able to go there and have her help with putting on the our sari the way we wanted. This is the only place Id ever go for any henna dresses. We all got several compliments on how beutiful our saris were. It was a great experience and dont think anyone would regret going to Variety Silks. Thanks again!!!
