I initially went in for glasses and possibly new contacts. After recieving the glasses, i noticed they seemed strong but thought i just need to get adjusted. Then i fell ill for over a month. I called them last week to see if i can exchange the glasses for a pair with a different rx, theu said sure but its been over 45 days so youll have to pay for the visit, exam, and possibly the lenses. Why does 45 days matter i asked perplexed... then they informed me it was there policy. Thats fine, however. NO ONE told me this! Not at my exam, nor when i had to cancel my follow up visit due to beng sick, which i did inform them that was why i had to cancel amd even told the lady it would be at least a few weeks before Id be able to reschedule.... i think at that point it would have only made sense to give me a heads up on this tiny exchange window they give!!! Now im stuck with glasses that i cannot wear unless i pay even more out of pocket. Very disappointing.

I would like to make this review helpful to others. I had full insurance but still my glasses came down to $200, my frame was a cheap frame but rediculously overpriced! My glasses total cost came close to $600! (is that even possible, no my frame was not made of gold!) this price included teflon coating, AR coating and Transition lenses. After wearing my glasses for 1.5 months I realized my glasses did not transition! I called them and the lady there told me "maybe we forgot to activate them" so I took it there and they found out that they did not use transition lenses and moreover they mentioned that it would take another 2 weeks for the lab to remake my glasses so that they transition!! You would think that a $600 dollar pair of glasses would be quality checked before giving to the customer....totally not the case. The ladies there are totally lazy mostly elderly women. Go to any other SVS location but not this one. I know I will not.

Most of SVS Vision is worst place for your eyeglasses especially this location. Lady worked there not friendly staff. She did not care what she was doing. While customers were waiting but she continued to talk on the phone and smiled. It appeared that she was enjoying talking than caring customer waiting for her to help. There are a lot of good place out there. DO NOT waste your time and money coming to this place. I NEVER prefer or recommend anyone to come here

There are so many better places around to go for eyeglasses. Sub-par staff, very limited frame selection & poor value equals no reason for me to come here ever again. The only reason I tried it was because of a groupon I regretfully purchased. The $200 value for $49 ultimatly cost me $160 for mid grade glasses. I got a pair at See in Birmingham with a $49 groupon and I got a nice pair of glasses with out shelling out any more cash. Go elsewhere if you can.

I had a great experience at this store. Love my glasses - Versaces - with the changing lenses and I got the Teflon, too. Worth every penny. The staff was great and the selection terrific. Used to go to DOC, and with them gone, glad I found this store and staff. Hope you will give them a try.....

LOVE this place! Myself, and 3 of my children wear glasses, and we have never had a bad experience here. The staff is ALWAYS helpful, and very friendly! I do and will continue to recommend SVS Vision on Dequindre to all of my friends and family!

I ordered safety glasses here through my employer with an existing prescription. It took a few days longer than their initial estimate for the glasses to be ready for pickup, but otherwise everything was completely satisfactory.

I was told 5 to 7 days now on day 10. Tried to tell me that my insurance takes extra steps. BULL! It took 3 days for my daughter. Somebody dropped the ball. I hate when people lie when they are at fault.
