As an avid shopper of this store, I recently became disenchanted with a promotion for 30% off if I purchased three pairs of shoes. I shopped on Thursday/ again on Friday (pre-shopped) on the 10th,using my credit/debit card, name, and phone#. Per the sales clerk these items would hold my order til the sale that would start on the Wed. the 13th. Well, the problem kick in when I found out the the charge went thru for pymt. The depart. manager-Karen corrected the matter,she reversed the order (which according to my bank (chase) will take 3-4 days) before the error is corrected, what the store should have done was to credit my acct. instead, therefore, my funds would have been available (immediately) back on my card. Karen turned this matter over to the Gen. Manager- Debra Barnes- Debra Barnes turned this over to someone in New York...currently waiting for a resolution in this matter. Shoppers beware!!!!!!

I ordered a wallet online for my daughter as a Christmas present. It has not been received so I called and was told that Lord and Taylor cancelled the order. Of course I called your 1-800 number and was left on infinity hold. I just want thank you for cancelling this order and never, ever notifying me that you had done so. I will never shop in any of your stores and will tell everyone I know to do the same. Terrible customer service! Its no wonder your stores are always empty! I didnt want to rate it a 1 but had to to post this review!

This store has lovely clothing and was clean, but TERRIBLE customer service. Dont go to this location for returns, or any help of that sort. Was brushed off three different times, finding someone to help us return some dresses. When we finally found someone, she ripped the returns out of our hands and threw them on the ground next to her. When we had a question or comment, she replied sharp and rude. With smiles on our faces we quietly walked out and promised not to return. Quite unfortunate!

Went to Novi Mall yesterday to shop. Will NEVER shop at Nordstroms again; miserable clerks providing horrible customer service. However ... Lord & Taylor made up for it. Clerks in each department were helpful and pleasant. The clerk in the Womens dept was superb! Sent email to L&T about her and my fabulous shopping experience in their store. Will definitely recommend Lord & Taylor at Novi Mall in Detroit to all my friends ... Plus --- they have wonderful sales!!

My mother and me were here to make a return and buy some bathing suits. This Lord & Taylor store, while looking a little retro, has wide room to move and has a nice, upscale look. The overall cleanliness is above average, too. While taking care of our return, our cashier lady was friendly and compassionate, but I should say that the actual process, plus using a coupon for our purchases, was a little slower than usual.

I felt so dirty when I was in this store, and all of the associates were rude. I will not be giving them my business ever again. It took 20 min for someone to get a shoe for my girlfriend and they acted so put off about it. It was horrible. Not to mention there were clothes and shoes everywhere all over the floor.
