Cant say Id ever go back again. I went to grab a copy of battlefield 4(which everywhere is around $30 including straight from the xbox one store) I see 2 copys a used copy for $27.99 or a "NEW" copy for $29.99. So i figure might as well get the NEW copy to put my own ware and tare on it. BIG MISTAKE apparently even though they take the disc out(for theft protection obviously) they still consider it "NEW". Im sorry but if Im paying the petty difference to get it NEW it should be sealed NOPE that isnt the case, so i said forget it ill just take it. Well on my way to the car i think hey maybe i should check the disc to make sure theres no scratches. Well sure as the sun sets there is scratches on this self per claimed "NEW" disc. So i bring it right back in there(within 2 minutes) and tell the lady "Becca" this isnt NEW it has scratches Id like a refund and Ill just go elsewhere to purchase a NEW SEALED copy. NOPE we only do store credit.....well thats convenient isnt it?? Cant say Ill ever step foot in a place like this, I mean I realize if I just took it home and came back a day or even hours later that they couldnt refund me. But 2 minutes? Get the heck out of here. I hope consoles start making games bought new playable to put these scam artist out of business.

PnT helped me get into becoming a game collector ever since I stopped in for the first time back in 2011. Now that Im back from college, going in now Ive noticed a massive price hike in regards to a lot of their used titles. While I dont mind paying an extra $5 for good service, Ive noticed several titles were overpriced by $10-40 compared to other stores in the area and even eBay/Amazon. A cashier I checked out with earlier this week did not honor a 20% off coupon I presented him for buying 3 used games (instead I was given only 10%), charged me for a yearly membership they told me would be given to me for spending the amount I did ($155), and ironically they gave me a duplicate coupon book. Ive respected PnT as a sort of underdog in the increasing tough market of used games sales unlike Gamestop, and I do realize they are each privately owned, but I cannot ignore their lack of proper competitive pricing as well as the disservice I was subjected to in my recent visit. Always do your research ahead of time, especially when there are 5 other used game stores in Kent County/Grand Rapids area beyond Gamestop.

As a man of discernible tastes there are 3 things that I appreciate more than anything when I visit a retail location. Knowledge, Service, and Value. It is my personal opinion that these are three key components to running a successful business. The folks at Beltline Play N Trade consistently provide these on an unsurpassed level! Craig, the owner, has a stupendous amount of knowledge when it comes to the best products in the industry. He has even gone so far as to recommend and demo games for my four year old daughters. I am always greeted with a warm smile and by name. Pricing is more than fair and I personally feel that they under price their products when I factor in the service I receive! Its extremely disheartening when I read a review on a local business that was written by someone who does not do their diligence in asking what all store policies are. These folks are great and I will continue to solely bring my business to this and their alpine location for many years to come. Thanks again Play N Trade you guys are great and I wish you nothing but success!!!!

The games they have are pretty good. I enjoyed their retro section where they have games from the Amiga days right down to the GameCube days. They even have rare mint condition games that can fetch for hefty prices. Found a game for the SNES called Earthbound that went for $190. The games I bought, work like a charm. However their console selling is a bit shifty. I had gone in to buy a Nintendo 64 and took it home and found it wasnt working. Took it back the next day and came to discover that it required a memory expansion pack, that is required for the console to work. They basically sold me a system without the expansion, and the next system they gave me had the expansion with it. Spoke to the guy about it, and he said that the expansion pack should have been in the console sold to me. Check the system to make sure it works, they do have the capability to check the system for you, as the guy I spoke to the second day, who was quite helpful and polite checked it for me.

After having bought the life warranty on several games for my ps3 i have found out this business doesnt even have a machine to repair these discs. I overheard the employees talking about it recently after they had to turn away a customer who needed a bluray disc repaired. Why do you sell services that you cannot uphold? And how long have you been charging people for this? **Thank you for replying so quickly, however thats not how it sounded from what the employees were saying. If there was a resurfacing machine at the other location why couldnt the customers games be brought over there to be fixed? Or is that the customers responsibility? If so, how inconvenient. ** i decided to give the alpine location a call and they said the machine was at the beltline location... I then gave that store a call just to be sure and they said it was at the other store still.... Care to explain?

Ive been frequenting Play N Trade for a few years now. I am an avid gamer especially when it comes to RPGs. Every time I come in I am welcomed and enjoy browsing the wide selection of games. I also enjoy the membership there. I am in so frequently that the owner now knows me by name and back when I was coming in more frequently (sometimes once or more a week) I would run into the store owner and he would greet me by name and ask me how things were going outside of my shopping experience. These are people that honestly care about their customers and try their best both with customer service and pricing. I also enjoy that I can stop in for almost anything from retro games and consoles to latest releases. I will be a life long customer for sure!

I bought a "new" game for my son as a Christmas gift on 12/20, even though it wasnt in the original wrapper. I returned it on 12/23 because it wasnt appropriate for a 8 year old. I was told that they do not do cash refunds, only store credit. Which is NOT stated on the receipt. They went as far to say there was a $2 a day fee too. Thus, making my $15 game worth a $9 store credit. After some "discussion" I got my full $15 credit for a new game that wad never played. I do my best to support local businesses, this will unfortunately be one I do not support in the future.

I recently went in for a PlayStation Vita, I bought one, came home and found that it still had parental controls. I was already having a bad day, I called them to complain and to see if I could trade it out. Before I could leave, he went out of his way to call me to help me remove the parental controls over the phone in order to save me a trip. I was not pleasant to him, the owner. I was rash and impatient, yet he handled me with such patience & was very helpful. That is what A+ customer service is. That is why Im a lifetime customer.
