TL;DR, musty roach motel smell, very overpriced, not willing to move on prices at all. Keep driving if youre looking for some good safe deals. This place Kind of smells like a bodega from New York, you know, that musty roach infested place smell, but the bodega might be better.Tons of odd parts and arcade cabinets in there. Lots of retro games, some good prices on some stuff, but a lot of it is largely overpriced. Their consoles are VERY overpriced for the area, and they are not willing to budge on their prices at all. They say they eventually want to turn it into an arcade. They have the units thats for sure. But dont see much effort being put into it, which is sad.

For real collectors, there are interesting things here. Unfortunately the hours are strange and the prices are WAY too high. Even so, this is a local business that would be cool to support as the owner once told me he would like to make an arcade. Imagine having Kazoo Books and a vintage game store and arcade right in one area. Id love it if the owner got motivated in cleaning up the store, more fair with the pricing, and better hours. If he has a dream Im sure there are enough retro heads in Kalamazoo that would love to support a space like this. Its just the main thing is that its too expensive and has strange hours.

I walked in to this store for the very first time not knowing what at all to expect. Lets just say its fair to say that this shop offers everything that anyone who grew up in the 80s to the 90s would appreciate. Being a video game collector, I decided that I would check this place out since I work fairly close to it and I have to say that it blew me away. They have everything a retro video game collector could dream of. The staff is very friendly and I have to say thank you again to Holly who helped me out. I will definitely be back!!

I was passing through Kalamazoo while on a road trip and found this wonderful store. They have a great selection of retro video games! I was able to find a number of NES, SNES, N64, and Genesis titles I had been looking for. They are super friendly and had no problem staying open a little later to let me browse their great selection. I will definitely be back when I am in town again!

Other reviews try to make this place seem like a used video game store. No, it is a junk store that sells video games. At beyond high prices! $50 for a N64 with the Expansion Pak (and missing the cover over the port)!? $50 for a Sega Saturn?! Over $10 for a loose Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on Genesis?! Come on. 2nd Chance in Portage sells this stuff for way less (and smells better also!).

The staff there was great, and helpful when they were actually open, but thats the issue in itself. The store was closed during business hours when I went there recently, which is unfortunate because I was willing to wait even though it was 45 minutes after the store should have opened. I checked their Facebook and Yelp accounts and neither site stated that the store was closed.

Tons of old arcade cabinets crammed wall to wall. Lyle introduced himself as the owner and I quickly spotted a rare PSP game in the cabinet: Metal Gear Acid 1 for $14. This find competes my PSP MGS collection.

They are pretty skilled in their league, the electronics and vintage games
