Im actually kind of amazed at the level of organization that goes into a Goodwill store. I guess its like that everywhere theres a Goodwill. Like, when I was in Portland, OR, we went to the goodwill "bins", which is where either where all the goodwill stuff starts or where it stops, I cant remember. But its definitely a crazy operation. The Somerville Goodwill is totally color-coded, and while I primarily use it for halloween/costuming in general, I could see this as a very affordable place to get some semi-decent stuff. Plus you can drop all your shitty old clothes here and feel somewhat good about it.

I have found many a good deal here on all kinds of clothes, shoes, housewares, etc. Sometimes I will stop in just to browse. Other times I will go in looking for something specific, which I usually find. Since the renovation, it is much easier to move around the store. The place is clean, the staff is friendly. It is a good place to shop if you have the time.

One of the best Goodwill stores in the Northeast. Great selections, nice and helpful staff. When I was younger I donated way more items and only seldom purchased there - now, having to live on a moderate fixed income in this expensive neighborhood, the table has turned and I purchase more items than what I donate... and I could not be more pleased.

Only 4 stars because too tempting! Lol so Im gonna change to 5. The employees were super nice,helpful and patient w my toddler:)I suggest raises cuz I dont encounter thst many polite,over exceeding w helpful employees on thst area other than the new clothing store that opened up.

Hadnt been in for awhile but they seemed to have rearranged some stuff but i think for the better more flow in the downstairs space. Still lots of interesting things im always impressed by the unique electronics items that turn up here!

Great store, terrible drop-off situation. I cant tell you how many times Ive donated items to this store but have gotten in fights with drivers while I unload things into the store. I wish they would make this easier for donations!

If you can get past the fact that its an older place, a little dingy, and are willing to do the work, you can almost always find something that you like at the goodwill. At the very least, its always a great place to donate!
