I saw the great reviews so I gave it a try. I brought both of my nine yr. old girls for a hair cut. They both got layered bobs. As you see on their price list($17 for kids)1 girl had shoulder length hair, the other had long hair BUT, immediately seperated hair into 2 and cut it for Lock for Love. The owner tried to charge me $37 for EACH child. She said their hair was too long so it costs more. I argued and said 1 had shoulder length to begin with so she lowered it to $27. Then when I walked out I realized that my other daughter did the Lock for Love&within 2 snips her hair was really short for the stylist to start cutting.The owner stated: She said it took 45 min each cut.Well thats not my fault her stylist wasnt fast. I will never Go there again.However, the young stylist did a good job on my girls&she was pleasant. Owner though Real Snappy&Definetely NOT and inviting Vibe.

I am a 48 year old who has allowed my hair to go silver. I loved the color but was getting to the point where I was considering dying it in order to get some lift and body. I was feeling really bummed out about my appearance from the neck up and having been unemployed for nearly a year, really needed a new look that communicated vitality. Well, I just saw Jackie for the first time yesterday and I could not be happier. She really worked hard cutting my short hair---using all the tools at her disposal, scizzors, shears and razor and working at the cut, non-stop for nearly a half hour. Even after sleeping on it last night, I awoke this morning to a haircut that looks amazing. Thank you Jackie!!

I Love this salon. I have always had issues with trying to get a style right to fit me. I went to this salon after a friend told me about it. The stylist are great. They listened to me as i described what I wanted and cut my hair a little at a time to make sure i got the style that i wanted instead of chopping it and then trying to make it work from there. I have been going there for a couple years now and finally got brave and colored and highlighted my hair, i absolutely love it. I also just had them do an up do for me for a wedding and they did a great job. Thanks so much for your great service, I will be sure to keep telling people about you. :) Thanks Again Crystal

I moved to the local area not long ago and desperately needed a new stylist. I looked at many place online and Hair Express was so convenient to go to so thought why not. I was so happy with the style and plan to make it my new place. The best part is I got a high class cut at a great fun place but did not pay those "Boston" prices that some of the other local salons are trying to charge. Crazy, dont waste your money - go visit Hair Express! I am super picky and was so happy with the results.

Kristi has been cutting my hair for years now. Shes always available when I need her. Straightforward, no-nonsense, just what guys want in a haircut: in and out. She consistently does a great job. I even brought my three-year old son in for his first "Real" haircut. It looked about 100 times better than what weve been giving the kid at home and she was really patient with him (he loved it!) Hell be back again, but not as often as I am!

I had a wonderful experience at Hair Express and Ive been back MANY times. The two women who own the salon are very welcoming and friendly! My hairdresser asked me many questions and took the time to figure out what I really wanted. The color and the cut was fabulous! I have sent many of my friends and family there and they have loved it as well. I was honestly shocked when I read the review below this! I highly recommend this salon!!

Kristy is AMAZING!!! I have gotten my hair highlighted for many years, so it was dry looking, damaged, and often spotty (bleached spots where they didnt belong). Well, when Kristy was done fixing the mess other stylists made of my hair, it was shiny, beautiful and vibrant. Ill never go anywhere else! She focuses on her work and listens to her clients! Thank God I found her! I really feel a whole lot better about myself and my hair!

I drive 30+ miles to Hair Express even though there are loads of salons in my area. Im one of those people who gets a cut once a year and then decides to let it grow out. Every single time, the cut grows out perfectly, which is a tribute to Kristys skill. Im long overdue for a trim but I keep waiting until my calendar is open to block out time for the drive to Salem. Totally worth it!

I left Boston and moved to Salem 3.5 years ago and have been going to Hair Express ever since! They did my hair and my wedding parties hair and did a great job! Were in there today, thanks for the great dye job!!! The girls are great and pricing is too! Highly recommend this place if you live in Salem!

I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. I would never trust anyone else but these ladies. I cant even explain how often I receive compliments on my hair and I have them to thank! They are all incredibly friendly and down to earth.

Great prices for quality cuts! Both my 6 year old daughter and I get our hair cut there and always find the staff to be professional and accomodating. Great atmosphere - the salon is beautiful! We will never go to another salon.
