No exaggeration this was the worst tattoo experience of my life!!The owner/only tattoo artist was very rude to me and my girlfriend from the beginning,we both went in wanting crown rings on our middle fingers.What seemed so simple turned into the most complicated situation Ive ever had to deal with.The misunderstanding was that the artist thought I wanted a ring atop of my finger instead of around my finger.I explained I wanted it around my finger 4 times,while she disagreed with me.I guess at Generation one "The customer is always Wrong".After she complained for 15 minutes and insulted my ink by saying it was dated,or out of style I told her that is a matter of opinion,and I did not get tattoos for others approval she became furious. She then proceeded by threatening to call the police if I did not pay,which I never objected to pay lol.And said she was going to have a cigarette,because she felt like STABBING ME WITH A NEEDLE!!!Then I asked for a refund which she would not give me.Im very dissapointed with the professionalism of this establishment.Please avoid the trouble and DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars.

This tattoo shop is the BEST in the area! Id recommend Generation One for any of your tattoo needs. Erica is hilarious, professional, accommodating, and makes every customer feel like an old friend. Her work is unprecedented, which you can find proof of on her shop Instagram (@generation_one_tattoo). She understands the artistic side of the craft, but even more impressive is her medical, safety, and scientific knowledge of tattooing. The definition of an artists. Whether its your first or your 50th, she will make you feel comfortable and at ease. The shop is gorgeous and beyond sterile. It has impeccable art and decor and it truly feels like youre hanging out at a friends house! Check it out and go see Erica, you wont regret it!

Definitely had an amazing experience here. I wanted a memorial tattoo done for my mom and dad but I was very unsure what exactly I wanted. Erica took the time to sit down with me and get some information from me about different things. Then she drew up a tattoo and when I went to look at it, it was absolutely PERFECT! I couldnt have asked for anything better. I get so many compliments on it all the time. She is extremely personable, professional, and easy going. I tell anyone thinking about getting a tattoo to go here. I had such an awesome experience and now I wont ever go anywhere else for a tattoo.

Being a very cautious person I didnt expect much seeing how I always go to cobra. But I gave generation one a shot and Erica killed it, and its my goal to become a regular, very professional, great work from lines to shading, the whole session was as if I was right there with family. Erica is a great artist and an even better friend. I highly recommend this spot to anyone I even got my best friend to get his first tattoo here. 10/10

The best shop Ive been to out of the other 9 artist I had. Very clean, hang out vibe, and they are wicked nice. Johnny is the manager and Erica is the owner. Told her a few concepts I liked and she did an amazing job finishing my left sleeve. Gave me a better sleeve then I could have hoped for. She went above and beyond to get me in before I left the state. I will never go to another artist again!

This place is amazing! Very professional, clean, and comforting! Erica did the most wicked awesome job on my first tattoo! The atmosphere is so relaxing, they let you choose the music you like or you get to watch tv if you want! John is very charismatic and amiable! I wouldnt trust anyone else to do my tattoo. So if you are downtown... stop in and make an appointment! You wont be let down!

This was the Best expierience i have ever had at a tattoo shop. Erica is an amizing artist and she was really easy to talk to. She really knows her stuff and good at suggesting better placements or styles for tattoos. I will never have to look for an other artist again. The cleanist shop i have even been in. She makes sure to clean the whole room before the next person steps in.

incorrectly scheduled my appointment after calling to confirm correct date. No refund for deposit Insulted my tattoo design. Called it "gay" without knowing meaning behind it. embarrassed i even considered this place silver lining: was knowledgeable about the ink used for tattoos.
