I was interested in a particular item on Craigslist and emailed the owner to ask if he still had it. He told me he had just dropped it off at Urban Renewals that day. I called a few hours after to inquire about the item I was interested in. I was specific about the item and described it, and the guy on the phone told me he didnt know if they had it even though it had arrived just hours earlier. He asked me why I was calling and I told him I wanted to buy the item, and he just told me multiple times it would be priced tomorrow. I asked him how he could not be aware of an item that was dropped off within a few hours, and he sarcastically asked me if I knew how many items they had. Instead of offering to take a look and see the item was in their possession he told me over and over again he just didnt know (I wouldve been fine with waiting to get a price, and I wouldve asked for them to hold it if he had just let me know if it was there). He proceeded to hang up the phone on me when I asked him for a second time how he could not know of an item that came into his store just hours earlier (with a specific description at that). Never once offered to take a look. The simplest courtesies in customer service go a long way in making a sale...next time I hope you try to be helpful instead of sarcastic and rude.

You can find something good or interesting often! Donations goto Vets They have color tag deals, student with ID discounts The draw backs are: Cash only, bring it! No plastic, theres a brand X ATM next to registers, expect to be charged a few dollars. Theres no public access to a bathroom, but there are places near by you can go. No changing room! Got the the eye of "Size-on"? Then finding treasure is easy. Or if your not shy and European like, there are mirrors throughout the store. As long as your not visually bothering anyone, no one bothers you... Just might stare a bit...

Great selection of clothes, with a few furniture pieces and home goods thrown in. The staff is uninspired, dejected and not very helpful. Unlike the nearby Buffalo Exchange and goodwill, the profits dont go to any worthy cause, but the selection is huge and the prices are reasonable. Its larger than the nearest goodwill and has the same problem of clothes not sorted by size, but definitely worth stopping and checking it out.

I love this place. There is so much merchandise that you need to dedicate a few hours to sift through but I have found tons of clothes with the original tags still on and in mint condition. There is a home goods section in the back with random odds and ends like picture frames, furniture, electronics, etc.

I love Urban Renewals. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. They have tons and tons of clothes at ridiculously low prices (lots of items are .99 cents!), organized by color, as well as furniture, drapes, plates, books, etc. Most of my clothes come from here and most of my friends have no idea.

Huge selection of second hand clothing and supplies with prices that are realistic and better than any local garage sale. For example, I picked up a Ronaldo Real Madrid Youth Jersey for 2 bucks as it was half price day. Everything is clean and the store is sorted very well by type and color.

A bit hit or miss when it comes to finds, but when you find something good it makes the bad trips worth it. The prices are always good, but its not always the best quality of things being sold secondhand. Some of the yarns are dirty and you should closely examine the clothes.

If you know what you are looking for this place is great. I get all my pants for my serving uniform here no problem. No dressing rooms is a major bummer as it is always a hit or miss on what you buy but the various sales they have make the gamble not so bad on the wallet.

A decent second hand shop with little to no service. Be prepared to dig through a lot of merchandise to find what you need. Furniture shopping is fairly impossible here since the pricing is not cheaper than if you were to buy it new from IKEA.

Huge selection of clothing and a sizable selection of books, electronics, music, and housewares. If youre discriminating, you can find some amazing things here. (My friend found some Chinese import vinyls here worth hundreds of dollars.)

Have been to Urban Renewal several times over the year. Has the standard assortment of thrift store items. The lighting is dim and a bit depressing. They ask to take your bags upon entering which isnt the most welcoming,

Always great treasures. Have extra time when coming here, i always find gems after wondering around for a bit. Can be busy on weekends and cash only, but its worth it.
