This is the absolute worst place ever! I just left there 5mins ago and it was so bad I had to stop and write a review while I am still in the parking lot in my car. Idk if its because of the location of this establishment but where do I even begin?! 1. When you walk in no one greets you. Instead they are all on their phones or eating food at the front. 2. The smell of Chinese food will probably have to be the first thing that hits you as you walk in. 3. When you ask if they can help you get something from a shelf they look at you like you just asked them something crazy. 4. They never get up off the register to help you like the other comments said the either point, or in my case they yell across the store for another associate to assist you. 5. When I made my purchase they never gave me a bag I had to ask for one. Idk if thats their way of saving on cost or something but thats just insane. 6. Before I left I asked if they had a particular product and the young lady said to me with an attitude "what you see out there is what we got!" ( firstly I did not walk around the entire store to see what you have, and secondly if a customer inquired about something clearly its because they do not know) These young children they have working in there all either need to trained on proper customer service or just be fired. There is no reason why I should go into a store and be treated as if you are doing me a favor by allowing me to spend my money! Also the older African girls in there are even more unprofessional than the younger ones and thats just an embarrassment. They cant even control their staff. I wish I could give zero stars but it does allow you to do so. At first I thought having an all black staff and to be supportive of a black business would be good... after this experience I see why all the Asians thrive in this industry. Dont waste your time with this place!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS establishment they are very unprofessional and very nasty, I purchased hair Items from them as a licensed Professional Stylist for last minute needs only, the products are over priced . No one there has customer service skills. I was cursed out by the manager and five other woman there. I was held hostage and threaded until I called the police. Over a wig !!! I was told by the Manager that she is from Africa and that they are better than American woman. (funny, they try hard to resemble the American culture and styles) SMH. I wonder if the Board of Health know that they are using chemicals, coloring hair, relaxing hair and doing hair weaving in the back of store. I also witnessed several of them washing their hair in the half bathroom sink located in the back of store where customers try on wigs. No caps are used when purchasing wigs, they are also doing hair in the back of the store without washing customers hair. The female that stated she was the manager was removing glued tracks from her head and bleaching it right where customers try on wigs. When you ask for help they are too occupied talking amongst themselves about nothing. They all were threatening to beat me up and snatch my wig off my head. This place is so unprofessional. I could not believe they treat customers like this. If you are a Black woman whom like to support other Black owned businesses, this is definitely not where you want to support. They do not respect Black American Woman and truly they do not respect themselves. They dress like thy are going on the corner and they act like they are selling more than hair and hair care products. *This has been reported to the BBB and DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND THE BOARD OF HUMAN AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES *YOU BITCHES BETTER FIND ANOTHER PROFESSION, OR GO BACK TO THE CAVE YOU CAME FROM. This is a nice Beauty Supply Store however the staff is not so good with their customer service. I spoke to one of the staff members over the phone about my hair products that I had purchased a week ago! She said that it will be fine for me to bring it in so that they can take a look over it and see if its okay to exchange the product without a receipt! Fine...now mind you I called around 820pm and Im coming from Michigan Ave in DC....Since Google and the website said 9pm for closing I was all set....Nevertheless I arrived at the store at 849 and the doors was locked! Really...the young lady said to me after opening the door for the last customer....we are closed...I then stated its not 9 yet!!! She replied and said No mama we close at 845 and the registers are closed !!! The young lady refuse to take back my products back and was not apologetic for the inconvenience! Welp so much for supporting a black own company ....I betcha Better Business Bureau would change their minds about that time!!!!

This store is TERRIBLE Ive never seen a hair store run like this. You walk in no one says "Hello" Or asks if you need help with anything. Instead the females that work there just keep their conversations going. When you do ask for help, they just point they dont give you physical help. The last straw for me was when I went in the store and one of the employees was sitting at the register taking her braids out and STILL handling transactions.. thats is so unsanitary not to mention just gross. I didnt even make my purchase I left and went to another hair store.. initially seeing all the black woman in the store was exciting , never been to a hairstore with a predominately black staff.. but after seeing how they conduct business there I could on longer support.

Several customers, including myself, showed up at 8:47. Their door was locked and they refused to let anyone in. 2 of us called beforehand and they told us they closed at 9. However, the woman claimed they closed at 8:45 (who closes at 8:45???). More people continued to arrive and were all turned away. Never wasting my time with these people again because I can see they dont do business very well.

The website states that this location doesnt close until 6pm. After getting off work and driving 30mins, I walked up to the door and the lady locked the door. She stated they close at 5:45, however even if that was the case it was only 5:43 (yes the 2 mins matter). If the location closes at 5:45 the hours need to reflect that to not waste peoples time.

This is the best beauty supply store!!! The owner is phenomenal, management is absolutely wonderful and the young ladies who wait on us customers are informed, courteous and fabulous!!!

Wish I didnt have to leave a star in order to write a review. Some of the ladies in this store is the absolute worst!!!! No customer service what so ever
