My mom, sister, and I have shopped in this store for years. Its gone down hill. They dont carry as much stuff as they used, the jewelry selection isnt what it used to be, and they let Vera Bradley bags take over the store. The owner is a jerk. She quit letting you bring a stroller in the store a year or so ago so I had not been able to go in since I have a toddler and now a newborn. Today I followed her rule and didnt bring my stroller. I carried my toddler and the infant carrier into the store to be able to shop. My infant needed to be fed and I sat in the front chairs, covered up, and discretely fed my baby. The owner started harassing my mom and sister asking if them in a rude manner if there was anything else she could help them with. They were still shopping in the store. Then she came over and told me it was not appropriate for me to feed my baby and I needed to stop. She kept going on and on about it. If you want to give your money to a nasty baby hater like this owner go right ahead but I know we will never be going back there and I will tell every single mom in our moms group about this nasty owner. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Since Saffron Creek deleted all of the comments from their facebook page here are a few of the ones I captured. "You should be ashamed of the way you treat nursing mothers at your store." "If you plan on breastfeeding your child, dont bother. You will receive a lecture and be kicked out. Shame on you, Saffron Creek." "Does treating yourself to something special equate to getting yelled at and forced out of your store for feeding your own child? No thanks. I hope everyone takes their business elsewhere." "I wont go to a store that is not family friendly and kicks women out that only want to feed their babies." When your target market is mothers, why would you tell a nursing mother that she needs to leave your store. Your attempt to embarrass her, was foolish and an apology is in order. Your actions yesterday were deplorable.

I really love Saffron Creek. The owner is very friendly, always makes conversation when I go in there and doesnt harass me when I take forever to make decisions. There are lots of cute "small town shop" type souvenirs in the front, lots of bags in the middle, cards and books in the back , and a clearance section in the extra back room. Yes, it is a different store than it used to be and has fewer souvenirs in favor of more handbags, but I dont think it has lost its small town charm, and if the purses werent in demand she wouldnt continue to sell so many of them.

I was surprised to see some of the other reviews because Ive had nothing but a great experience and friendly customer service here. This is my go-to gift store. Ive bought wedding, birthday, hostess, baby etc gifts here and the recipients always LOVE everything. The owner is also great at suggestions when I dont know what to get. Ive never left here disappointed - or empty handed

Disgusting!!! Shame on you and your establishment for denying a baby their right to EAT. I dont know what your problem is - oh wait, I do! Youve been brainwashed by society to completely sexualize breasts instead of understanding that the reason we have them is to FEED OUR BABIES.

How can a business that sells baby things be so hostile toward nursing mothers? And breaking state law to make the wife of a deployed serviceman feel embarassed about feeding her child? Shameful.

Add to the charm and beauty of North East. Friendly staff and great unique gift ideas. They have the best soap around. Well worth a visit while you are waiting to eat at Woodys!

Terrific little store with much to ooh and aah over. Good stock of Vera but many other things as well. The mailing list will get you the occasional coupon. :)

SHAME ON YOU FOR KICKING A MOM OUT OF YOUR STORE FOR BREASTFEEDING! You do realize that is illegal, right?

The owner refuses to follow state law and kicked a woman out for breastfeeding the other day.
