In order to be able to thrift shop you must be PAITIENT!!!!!! Thrift shops are not like Macys and JC Pennys, and NO Ft. Meade is not the most organized thrift store in MD, but you will find amazing deals. I am an officer in the Army and for Commissioning had to buy Dress Blues which run from $500-$600 for just the uniform excluding alterations. I went to the Ft. Meade thrift store and found the entire uniform for $20. I also recently found a Maternity Class A uniform for $7 (tunic & pants) which I will wear one time. So when you go take a positive, and paitient attitude with you, if not go to the department stores and pay full price for it.

We love Thrift Store. For years we have been consistently donating and shopping. With every visit we ended up leaving with big garbage bags with things for the whole family and our household as well. Highely recommend to visit and donate as well. Happy treasure hunt!

UPDATE! They are now in the old Clothing and Sales building. Good selection and prices. More organized than I was expecting. Buried in the corner of Ft Meade but worth the trip.

It can be hit or miss sometimes, but the deals and steals are worth it to come take a look. You must have a military or government CAC in order to access or shop.
