I shop at this store often and I must say that it could use some significant improvements. To begin, almost every time I visit this store there appears to be a lack of fresh produce. In this store youll often find molded fruits, wilted collard greens and expired fruit in the freezers. (I just experienced this Monday when I went to grab some sliced pineapples, only to find out that they expired three days previous). And you better believe theyre still charging you full price for these damn-near expired goods! Second, the store also doesnt seem that clean to me, and several times the shelves looked understocked. --What are the managers doing if I may ask??? Lastly, one thing I can give them credit for is the fact that the foods (or chemicals) in the middle aisles of the store seem to be the most "well kept" (when in stock). Thank goodness for long expiration dates because if we had to leave it up to staff to change the food periodically, wed all be screwed. I must say that the only reason why I did not give this place one star is because of the professionalism that SOME of the staff here exhibit-- and even thats hanging by a thread. Although this place seems understaffed (evidenced by the long check out lines), many of the cashiers seem to try to make your experience there a little nicer by speaking with you, joking with you, and being friendly towards you. Other workers there (especially in the customer service department OUT OF ALL PLACES) can use a bit of help, for they are often times less friendly and seem less like they want to help; let alone be there. I was never for gentrification, however gentrification seems to be the only thing that may cause a "positive" change in this grocery store, sad to say. Until then, as long as this place continues to have a predominantly black clientele, then this is what one should expect to see when visiting this grocery store. If you have a car, my best advice for you is to shop elsewhere until they can get their act together.
