After reading multiple reviews, I was very excited about going to this store to find the shoes I wanted. I was met by a young lady who, after my stating that I was looking for hiking shoes, immediately responded that they did not carry them. After watching me look over at the vast display of shoes, she then said, "We do carry a couple of trail shoes". I said that was exactly what I was looking for, to which she replied that they had none in womens sizes, and would have to be ordered. She said I could try on other shoes, to see what size I need, but that I would have to pay for the shoes before they could be ordered. Due to bunions, I have very wide feet, so one style of shoe may not fit like another. When I thanked her and said never mind, her relief was almost palpable. I honestly did not think I was THAT needy!

While I was deployed someone let me borrow their GPS watch and I was hooked. Having just returned, I did not know where to look when my friends told me about some shoe store in Columbia. Life can get busy, but I was glad to make the time to visit this establishment. I was kindly greeted right after entering, yet not quickly confronted to try and encourage a sell. I quickly walked around and noticed how well stocked the place was with excellent gear and snacks. Most importantly, when I found the GPS watch I was interested in buying but it did not have a heart-rate monitor they took one out of another box so I did not have to wait for a special order! This place will be where I make all my future purchases because of the knowledge of those that work there, kindness they had for my visit, and excellent service.

I am in the military and have flat feet and a bad back, so I wanted to get a properly fitted pair of running shoes. I decided to try this place out based off of the reviews. I am glad I did go here. He guy who helped me out, Jeff, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I told him my specific excercise routine and he put me on a machine that analyzed the pressure points of my feet, and then he helped me select the proper shoes and orthotic inserts to fit my needs. Dont expect to find a bargain discount here. If you want that, go to Payless. However, it is well worth it, and in my opinion, better to pay more for a properly fitted high quality pair of running shoes and orthotics than trying to go cheap. Plus they gave a 10% military discount. I will definitely return here when the time comes to buy another pair.

I came in here on a recommendation from a friend. I am training for the Marine Corps Marathon and it was time for new shoes. Previously, I had only gone to the Falls Road Running store to get fit for running shoes. I had just completed a 15 mile training run and my right foot hurt very badly. I was served very promptly by an employee who determined that I had been fitted incorrectly and my shoes were too small. I tested out a few different pairs and bought a pair of Asics. The experience I had here was just wonderful. I talked with the employee at least half an hour about marathon running and how to prepare. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ive run for a few weeks in these shoes now and my foot pain has cleared up all together. I cant recommend them enough. Way better than Falls Road.

. I am editing my review due to good follow up customer service. I am impressed that the company did not get angry at an honest review about an employee- and instead took steps within the store itself to correct the experience, and also made an apology towards me. Although I will not be taking them up on the discount offer (I already bought my new workout shoes elsewhere since I spent that week shopping), it is nice to know that this company takes complaints seriously. Since learning from their response that they do indeed carry wides, and can special order them, and have 100+ styles to choose from, I think it would be nicer to get individual attention and help choosing shoes at a specialized place like here rather than a large chain somewhere that would not care about customers.

BRAVO! My teenaged son was in need of new workout shoes. In what I thought was an effort to save a couple of bucks, I have avoided small shoe stores in favor of chain sporting good stores. What a colossal mistake. I am absolutely delighted that I "discovered" Feet First. The customer service we received from Reese was top notch. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the pros/cons of various shoes, but she also analyzed my sons feet and made great recommendations. We were thoroughly impressed. And as it turns out, their prices were even better than big ole (impersonal) sporting goods stores. We are huge fans and highly recommend Reese and Feet First!

My friend recommended I try Feet First Sports and I am glad I did! The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and they answered all of my questions. The store was clean and welcoming. My son knows his shoes and he loved the wide selection. I enjoyed the machine you stand on which tells what kind of support you need. We had a great experience and got to meet the owner, Steven, who really cared about our shopping experience. I would definitely go back again. Great shoes and accessories.

I went to this store on my wifes recommendation as she went to the Annapolis location. I was looking for a pair of cross trainers. The person that helped me was very knowledgeable and brought about 4 pairs of shoes to me. I wanted to get inserts and he said that I didnt need any for cross trainers. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone who runs or trains. They will definitely get you fitted in the right shoe specifically for your foot.

I wanted to replace my old running shoes, which were giving me blisters. I feared that the cost would be very high and my aging feet would require expensive orthotics as well. However, the very knowledgeable co-owner of the store measured my feet, had me try on several pairs, and recommended an excellent pair within my price range with no modifications. All within 20 minutes. I couldnt be happier.

I was experiencing a lot of ankle pain from the wrong shoes. I knew I could not get the service I required at the mall or online and was prepared to pay more for it. Not only did they get me the right shoes but but offered a discount making a rather expensive sneaker cheaper than I could have bought on line. Very good experience and excellent customer service.

Excellent customer service. I was helped by Brent Smith. He took his time and made me try variety of shoes before I made a decision. Thoroughly explained about the pros and cons of different shoes. Never tried to sell me things which I dont really need. He was very friendly, helpful and polite throughout. I highly recommend him and this neighborhood store.

Miss Reese and Ms. Heather were great in getting me a shoe with inserts in 60 minutes. I was wanting to buy two pairs of shoes. Miss Reese recommend I do not buy the second pair I like. Because of it being to narrow. It was tempting , but the pain would have been too much to walk it out. Lol! Thank you Feet First.
