This place has to be owned by scrooge. No holiday pay for those who work their butts off on Thanksgiving, and nothing special for Christmas either. The store is very dirty, bathrooms go uncared for for hours. Groceries are overpriced, you could get the same thing at walmart for dollars less. The tech in the store is old. The cashiers dont have scanning guns and must pick everything up. Some of the office staff is also super rude, like Cindy, who I have seen walk off on a customer. Will never spend my money here.

Rouses is a very interesting local grocery chain that usually makes a point of highlighting local products. They have also been known for their in-house brands. After being away from Louisiana for a couple of years, it seems that some of their house brands have been discontinued. While I still like many things about Rouses, I dont find that Im usually willing to go out of my way to visit this store. I still really like Rouses markets, but the 2 stores in Slidell dont generally rate among my favorites.

The best thing that happened to New Orleans was the arrival of Rouses. Its a warm and inviting store with a local touch. They sell some really good local produce, seafood and other items. The prices are good, especially if you pay attention to their sales. The best thing about Rouses is the service. They always have enough checkers on duty and if they need more, they call them in. Im willing to go there at peak times because I know that I can get out of there pronto.

A Louisiana owned supermarket in Slidell that is one of several Rouses supermarkets in the area. We have lots of supermarket choices in Saint Tammany, and Rouses and Walmart Neighborhood Market are my two favorites. Theres a good selection of both food and spirits, and the prices are reasonable.

This restaurant is inside the Rouses grocery store but dont let that deter you. It was so yummy. We had the pulled pork and bbq brisket and it was just like what I make at home. For a family of 4 adults it came to $33 so its priced well, too.

I truly love shopping at Rouses. I normally shop locally but the shopping experience at Rouses is so comfortable and the selection is outstanding that we make the 20 minute drive to the Slidell store two or three times per week.

Great selection of food and you can even grind your own peanuts for peanut butter. Staff was very pleased and helpful and cant wait to return next year to Slidel for our mission project of rebuilding homes..

A tasty for a quick, cheap lunch thanks to the Bayou Boys Grill attached to the Rouses. And this is HUGE! Think if Walmart, Whole Foods, and Louisiana combines to make the best supermarket in the world.

Love it. Staff is great, food selection is exemplary and they always have meat /meals prepared ready for grilling or cooking. Prices are excellent. Wine and alcohol selection is quite satisfactory.
