I note lots of 5 star reviews and they must all be vegetarians. If I want to expose my family to rude drunken like people I will take them to Bourbon Street at Mardi Gras. My wife and I travel to this store twice a week. On Sundays after church with my kids, and on Tuesdays. We do not go to the meat counter on Sundays and are generally better off I guess. When we order the sale item, say for instance $2.99 a pound ground chuck, the big mean weird guy scolds the customer advising that orders of that size need to be phoned in ahead of time. When we call he tells us that we will have to wait at least 30 to 40 minutes on the phone to place the order until it is our turn in line. How can we have a number in the line. The next visit the big mean weird guy scolds myself and wife insisting we call the order in ahead of time. Read on it gets better… Well today, June 09-2015, at 6:01 PM my family entered the Fresh Market. I had a delicious cup of coffee. I actually complemented the coffee attendant on his coffee and the guy turned out to be the very same guy who was the ”stand In” manager for “A” day I later and finally complained to about our accosting at the meat department. “Again”. More later on and the “coffee attendant” turned out to be the acting management on site. He obviously has no traction or supervisory effect on the meat department and neither does Fresh Market from what we can tell over the past 6 months shopping there. After the really wonderful cup of coffee I then walked to the meat counter to again see my wife being rudely treated by what I observed and truly assess to be an UN-medicated mental patient with a knife. The same thing, "Call the order in and essentially "Go away "sucker" you actually came back here to buy meat on sale you cheap ass? That how I took what his mumbling and body language broadcasted. I told my wife to forget it we would just leave and we did. As I was waiting to pay for my coffee in line the cashier asked, "How was everything?", to which I replied,” can you call a manager?”, and she did. The manager was a professional conflict resolver. He offered us the store almost at no charge. He was a great guy, in fact the same one I had met having coffee and paid compliments to earlier. I explained to him the circumstances. He was not surprised I could tell he knew right away who the complaint was about. I bet the management gives a bunch of meat away a week. He offered us "free of charge" our order and he would prepare it personally ASAP. I refused and he would not take no for an answer. Of course my wife prevailed, never passing a deal up, waited and we received some $75 of meat, our order previous, for free. I told the manager that I wanted to know the store policy regarding orders and size of walk up order limitations and the manager stated there were no limits. We were only ordering 5 packs of hamburger for our church and home school group. I remain dis-satisfied and steadfast that I will never shop there again and neither will my family. Its hard to find customers these days especially shopping at the opposite end of the spectrum from Walmart . But, it is very easy to lose them. I and my associates will do our best to avoid this place like the plague and propagate our discontent and the unfit for woman / children environment Fresh Market presents perhaps daily.

I am a frequent shopper at The Fresh Market in Mandeville. As of lately when I try to purchase specialty items at the DELI, I am either ignored or rudely helped. One lady who is Latino with her hair tightly pulled back and wears disgustingly red lipstick, begrudgingly waits on me. Her co-worker, a white mid 50-60 year old with long, stringy course hair is just as RUDE if not more. She went out of her way to make rude noises when she was "SERVING ME". I am appalled by the all this RUDENESS. If you dont like to serve the PUBLIC....find another job! Management needs FIRE these two women. Cant wait until WHOLE FOODS opens. I will be spending my hard earned money there!

Most often I return home with top notch produce. On Monday, Jan. 21, 2016, it was not so. The pint of Bluets blueberries were bitter, the Wish Farms 1 lb strawberries were flavorless and the watermelon 1/4 slice had a slimy interior texture.. Let me follow up by adding that my ribeye , prepared this evening is perfection. The sesame bread is hands down the best Ive had. And the chocolate pie is scrumptious! I will return the produce, knowing full well that management will take care of my issue. Far and away better than Whole Foods!

Having just relocated from the Chicago area this store is a great substitute for those of us addicted to Trader Joes. I am especially fond of the coffee selection and this store will ensure I see no end to feeding my addiction. The wine selection was also excellent with a good variety of local and global options (no 3 buck chuck though). Having to come from Slidell this will most likely not be my first choice for grocery shopping but will be a frequent stop to restock my coffee and wine supply.

Limited selection of fancy foods and gorgeous produce with a hefty price. They have been offering deals on meat and meal deals lately that make it worth a trip, but I have to make a second trip to a more typical supermarket to actually complete my weekly grocery order. Without going broke, that is. The bakery has some exceptionally delicious treats, though. Great for bringing to friends and family or a special occasion.

The fresh market is a small store that has a decent selection, but it tries to be upscale with a price to match. People in this area have disposable income, so they do well. I prefer shopping at their competition, unless they are the only place I can purchase an item.

I love the customer service and the great selection of organic foods. Yes, organic foods cost a bit more and we still have to go to other grocery stores, usually Rousses, to complete our list but The Fresh Market is worth making an extra stop for.

Small selection of groceries, but good selection of premium meats and seafood, and a nice bakery. Nice place to grab a prepared meal for dinner. Make sure you check the sales paper, many of their items go on sale frequently.

The employees are as important to my enjoyment when i "visit" as the wonderful selection of delicious foods, wines, cheeses and the meat dept! The butchers still give ideas for preperation of the "goods".

I enjoy the pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Its a small store so I always have to shop at an additional grocery for my "big grocery shop" day, but I dont mind that.

Small yet has great products. I love the sushi at this location. My family loves the cakes and baked goods too. I would highly recommend their cake and pies.

Upscale market that has specialty things u cant always find and beautiful produce. Prefer over Whole food which is close by. Friendly staff and ample parking
