Im going to post a terrible review on all internet platforms so EVERYONE knows what a waste of time and money the Home Depot is. We suffered damage to our home in the Great Flood of 2016, and I honestly think that dealing with HD was the worst part of the rebuilding process. We started think started our search for wood floors at the Airline location in Baton Rouge on 12/8. Employees there literally walk circles around you, while playing on their phones and avoiding eye contact. When I finally got the attention of one employee, they told me I would need a specialist from that department and said they would bring someone over. Said employee made a big circle back into our aisle with their phone glued to their face and laughed when they saw Id caught them. "Still looking!" They told me with a grin. When they finally made their way back to us, they said that all two employees were helping the same customer, but that they would be able to check us out at returns if we were ready to purchase. At this point, wed been here for over an hour and were ready to go, so we decided to take our chances with the people at returns. We waited in this snaking line for about 15 minutes, only to reach the counter and be told that they couldnt help us, either. Frustrated, we headed towards the Home Depot nearer to home. The kiosk that theyve set up for home design is being manned by one person, with occasional employees drifting in and out. We wait in line for another 30 minutes behind one couple (with an admittedly large order,) before the woman behind us snags an employee to assist her with cutting blinds. We wait about 30 minutes longer for that employee to come back, and then ask her to place our order. She was probably new, but she had no earthly idea what she was doing. We had done the math prior to her return, so we already knew exactly how many boxes of flooring we would need. First, she couldnt pull the floor up by name. Then the "barcode was broken." The other employee in the kiosk was having to correct her mistakes and answer her questions while simultaneously attending to his own customers. FINALLY we were able to leave. We began our trip at 5:30 on Thursday evening and ended it at 8:45. But it doesnt end there!!!! They ordered the wrong floors. No big deal, we thought. Well just cancel and reorder the correct floors. We have gone in store/called SIX times to get the incorrect floors cancelled. While they had no problem adding to our order, it seemed impossible to remove anything. Both sets of floors were scheduled to be delivered this coming Monday, 12/19. After two angry and frustrated calls today, we have a cancellation in progress. No offers to expedite the delivery of the correct floors and we wont receive the refund until the wrong floors are en route back to the warehouse. Again, weve been fighting with this for 10 days. We will never visit Home depot again, and I will vehemently discourage anyone else from doing so. Unless you enjoy infuriating incompetence.

Do not shop at the Home Depot in Denham Springs! We went tonight to get a few things and found a fan we knew the boys would enjoy in their new play room. It was the last one in the store and was the display. We asked for help in getting it down. The gentleman who was sent to help obviously did NOT want to help. Kept coming up with excuses as to why he couldnt climb up and get it down. Finally I walked off to go finish our shopping. While I was gone, my husband says the worker brought over a rolling ladder to get down the fan with. My husband and another customer were apparently in his way and he yelled for them to get out of the way. At this point my husband decided we didnt want the fan if we were to be treated in this manner. We then proceeded to the front desk where my husband asked to see a manager. I took the children back to the van. When my husband got there he informed me that the manager basically told my husband that the gentleman who was sent to help was the only one in the store who could help us (even though there were plenty of other younger employees who might have been more comfortable climbing the ladder, etc.) and that if we wanted the fan we were stuck with this employee. Then the employee showed up at some point in the conversation with the manager and called my husband a liar to his face. We went to Lowes instead, and will think very hard about venturing into a Home Depot in the future.

Absolute worst customer service ever today (and unfortunately not the first time at this location). My husband and I went in to pick up a leaf blower that was on a top shelf. We knew what we wanted when we went in the store, just needed someone to get it down. When we finally did find someone, not only did she try to avoid us, but when we said we needed help getting something down off a top shelf, she immediately said it would be at least one hour. We understand, its a Sunday and its busy, especially considering the circumstances. She had zero desire to help or find someone else that could help us. It didnt take thirty seconds for this employee to completely blow us off. We felt as if she was more interested in getting us out of there than anything. My husband and I have both worked retail, Home Depot and Lowes included, and we could NEVER imagine treating a customer with such disregard. Shame on you, Home Depot.

Worst experience with "management" ever! After we removed ALL of our kitchen appliances in preperation for over $4400 worth of new appliances to be delivered on the promised day of delivery on Thursday, Oct the 1, They lost our appliance orider, but made sure our acct was billed correctly and management proceeded to get veeery snotty (appliance and store mgmt)..they just cost this store to lose out on a major remodle. manager AND the store mananger) treated us as THOUGH T H E. C U S T O M E R was being unreasonable! Sure is a shame...we are gearing up for a TOTAL upgrade and remodel on our home....well.....they will not be getting one red cent from us. We will not patronize any carpenter, painter or installer that is in any way doing business with this bully of a compamy....I am soooo diagusted over this....I now hate the color orange! If there was a way to give them a negative #....I sure would have!

I was shopping there this weekend for a new front door, crown molding, and trim. I found the door I needed and loaded it myself. I then parked my cart on the lumber aisle, which is one aisle over from the trim isle due to the trim aisle being very tight. I was carrying over my trim boards and loading them on the cart. After my 6th trip to load trim, I found that all of my items, doors and trim, were all laying on the floor with no cart around. Some idiot employee and an idiot customer took all of my items off of my cart and took my cart. I let them know what idiots they are. The employee said he would go and get me another cart and he never came back. I hate dealing with stupid people like this.
