We purchased a washer from Greg back in March... 3/31/15 and everything "sounds" good... They talk like they take care of their customers... Well, I called today and spoke to Greg and asked him if it was just a fluke that my washer doesnt work when it is just past 90 days. He asked for my name and said he looked up my ticket; then asked me what kind of unit it was, I stated I wasnt home so I was not sure; he said call me back when you find out. So I got home, I called him back and told him the type of washer. He then said he wouldnt be able to get out there until Monday, I said well what is it going to cost me? He said around 100$ I said are you kidding me? I just paid 250$ three months ago, and now its going to cost me another 100$ ... You cant be serious! He said would you like to talk to a store manager I said yes... So Greg tells the store manager whats going on and gets back on the phone and said he said " you can bring it up here and we will take a look at it." I said its full of water and wont run. He said well then he said call someone else then... Then I asked to talk to the store manager, Greg told me hes working on a compressor and said call back and ask for a store manager and hung up on me.... I called back and said may I speak to a store manager, he said hes working on a compressor, I said what is your name Greg or Craig? He said it doesnt matter, I said really? This is how your service your customers?? You have no customer service skills at all, he said your pleasant your self and hung up on me... So I would NEVER ever recommend this company for anything. The told us when we bought the washer they would back it, they would come service it they always take care of their customers!!! Lie after lie after lie... I really wouldnt give them 1 star!!!! If I recall correct when we looked on here there were more good reviews than bad and we made mention of this to him and he said well your always going to have negative comments..... Well here is another one to add to the list!

We bought a washing machine from them in January by May we had them out to fix it, which they did. Then two weeks ago it started leaking. Called them back and they wanted us to bring it to them because they said it would save us money, so I did they found nothing wrong after having it for about 4 hours we brought it back home and it started leaking again. called them back and asked them to come to me, since I drove it to him the last time. Which by the way we live in Troy and I specifically asked the owner Henry if they would come that far and he said yes, but now that we have a problem its too far for them and he wanted me to bring it back to him. When I told him I preferred for him to come to me the owner got nasty with me on the phone and hung up on me. His motto or mission statement is complete lie, and who in sales and service curses at their customers and hangs up on them. I have since gotten a BBB and Angies list service company to come look at the washer it did have a problem it had a leaking seal that they found in 30 minutes not 4 hours, and they came to me. I did laundry all day no more leaks...its not that hard to make someone happy...just a bit of effort on the companys part.

Purchased a dryer for $100. After two days it stopped working and left a horrible burning smell in my laundry room. I returned the unit along with my receipt to get my money back because I was afraid it was a fire hazard, but was told I could not get my money back. He pointed to small type on the bottom of my receipt that said "No Refunds", then told me that had been "made clear" at the time of purchase. The truth is It hadnt been "made clear" to me, because I would not have made the purchase in the first place if it had been. Owner offered to fix the unit, but wasnt it supposed to be have been "fixed" when I initially purchased it? I didnt think it wise to put my family at risk by keeping a potential fire hazard in the house, so I left it there, went and got a new dryer I could trust instead of that dangerous unit. In sum, you can go to this place and save money, but also risk ending up with a fire hazard youre stuck with no matter what. Save yourself a headache and stay away.

Had a washer go down 30 minutes before mid rivers appliance closed. I asked Gregg if a total repair on a burnt out water pump and broken bearing would save me any $ rather than just buying a new one. BTW I just asked Sears the same question and they gave me an estimate of $350. Gregg was honest about his estimate and told me it just wouldnt be worth it he could sell me a new one for $200. Well I needed one ASAP! Gregg not only gave me a good deal on a whirlpool washer, but also put everything in his personal life on hold(which included picking his wife up from work to keep the doors open for me) and staying at least an hour or more until I got preparations (friend and a truck) ready. He even gave me his personal cell phone # to keep in contact should any family emergency come up to coordinate our time. Havent had the washer long but Im sure if theres any problems gergg is sure to do right by his customers.

I had a fan blade fall off of my refrigerator that i bought new from a different store. I Took the blase to another repair company and explained what happened and they said they could order the part. I googled appliance repair companies near me. I ended up going to another store where they did have the part but i needed to buy the motor also for $108. I explained that i only needed the plastic fan and he suggested Mid Rivers Appliance. I went there and explained what i needed and they had one and actually gave it to me. I offered to pay for it and they said n o problem. If i needed an appliance i would look into them based on my short experience.

My mom has purchased several appliances here throughout the years. When my washing machine broke recently, I asked her opinion. She said to call these guys. They gave me an appointment within one business day. No messing around; the problem was diagnosed in 30 seconds. I was shown me what went wrong, why, and how to prevent/minimize the risk of damage in the future. I also asked about the virtue of fixing my machine versus purchasing a new one. I was told that a new machine was not necessary, this tiny fix would be enough and my machine would work for many more years. I appreciate the honesty and workmanship of this company.

An old-school business in todays money-driven times. Great communication in terms of when they could make it over, and they worked quickly and quite adeptly. And voila! My fridge was like new in less than an hours time, complete with a new saddle valve in the basement. What I liked was how friendly Henry was, and that he took the time to explain what was wrong and what he was doing to fix it, all while looking me in the eye and treating me like he cares. Thats rare in todays times, if you ask me. Id DEFINITELY use Mid Rivers Appliance again, and would recommend others do the same.
