This is the second time I have patronized this location, and neither visit impressed me. This will be the last time I use visionworks. The first visit ended in a pair of "high definition" lenses with a special coating. Within two months, the coating had gotten spotty and made seeing difficult. On this second visit, there were no contacts in stock that would work with my astigmatism. That is not such a big deal, my astigmatism is an uncommon angle. I was told to go home and come back when the contact lenses were in, that I would pick out frames and recieve those on my repeat visit for contacts. A week later I called back to check the status of the order, to learn that I should have been fitted for frames during the original visit, and the delay and misinformation given to me would necessitate a third visit. I dont know what kind of free time these folks have, but I certainly do not have time to go to their office and wait three times and pay hundreds of dollars for this poor quality service and lackluster products.

I have been wearing glasses for years and recently I switched insurance and Visionworks is the closest covered provider to my home. When I called to make an appointment, they had many openings but I was told to allot 90 minutes for my appointment. This seemed odd to me but I wound up spending MORE than that at my appointment. There is a lot of waiting and the service is VERY slow so do yourself a favor and bring something to read with you. They have a great selection of frames in all styles and colors and they run some great specials (buy a pair of glasses get a pair of sunglasses at 50% off). The salespeople are a little pushy trying to upsell you at every turn but I suppose that is to be expected. The glasses are not made on site and take about a week to process. All in all, a decent place to get your glasses.

Went in yesterday with an appointment. Waited 45 minutes past the appointment (has been scheduled for two full weeks) to be seen. Sat in the waiting room for another 40 minutes before we could order glasses for my daughter. Came back in today with my other daughter for her appointment. Waited around 40 minutes past the appointment time again. Came back out and waited an additional 20 minutes to be seen for glasses and fitting. Found out at that time that both my daughters are eligible for a free second pair of glasses with our insurance plan. No one told me this the day before. The employee helping us today Malcolm, made the wait worth it. He fixed everything so they both got the free second pair and had all four pairs ready for us in a couple of hours. Malcolm was wonderful, the office and other staff...no.

I have been taking my son here for years. I know its very slow, takes about 2 hours. But today was the WORST. My son needed an exam, contacts and new glasses. We signed in just before 4:00pm. At 4:15 they take my son back to read a chart and have air blown into his eyes. They said he was next to see the doctor. At 5:15 my son asked the people at the desk if they forgot about us. They said someone was in with the doctor now. At 5:30 they locked the doors because they were closing. At this point we were the only ones still waiting to go back. He still needed an exam with the doctor, contacts and to pick out new glasses. Then at 6:00 we saw people checking out that came in an hour after us. So we left. I was TOO ANGRY to asked them what the problem was? We will never return to this business.

Appointments (as structured) are totally worthless. I verified via experience and speaking with a store employee that having an appointment only means that you will be put into the que (line) when you arrive. It does not mean, the starting time the actual examination process. Last visit the total process took over 3 hours to complete the examination from the time I arrive till the time I walked out of the final examination room. And no, this did not include eye dilation. I complained but their response was recommending that I not schedule my visit anywhere near the start of school year. My advice, forget the scheduling an appointment and arrive when they open so you can be first in-line and first seen.

Terrible experience. My first visit i was seen by Cynthia she over charged me $200 because she did not know her job. The manager had to fix her mistake. When i ordered my glasses i specifically told Cynthia I needed transitions and i needed larger lenses so the tint covered more of my eyes. No one called to tell me my glasses were in. When i went to pick them up Cynthia forgot to add the transition to my order. So i had to pay the transition fee and wait longer for them to come back. And again Cynthia did not know how to add the cost up. So we had to get a manager. I love the, selection of frames but I will not return to this store again. Im going to pick up my glasses today. Hopefully they are correct

I had my eye exam on december 14th and recieved my glasses on December 22nd. Usually they dilated my eyes but because there was a holiday party going on they didnt. When I got my new glasses, I wore them for 2 days but they felt strange, so I went back to my own glasses. Finally, I got an appointment with a different eye doctor. It turned out that the new prescription was totally wrong, the old glasses were fine, the new lens I received were wrong. I spoke with the Manager, she refused to give me new lens with the correct prescription. She was also rude and unwilling to come to any agreement. I have been going there over 20 years. They have lost a customer, I will NEVER GO BACK there again!

The people here are fairly friendly but they will let you sit there waiting as long as they want and will take anyone else ahead of you and will continue to ignore you. Ive been going here for a long time and its always taken quite a while but they typically would actually do something for me instead of having me wait a long time. I sat there for 2 hours and never even saw the doctor, so I just got up and left because they showed sign in wanting to help. Dont go to this place, go somewhere else to save your time and money. And dont trust the people that gave 5 stars, they were most likely paid.
