My wife and I finally tried this place after anticipating the grand opening for weeks, and we absolutely loved it! There are so many options to choose from that its hard to decide, but theyre all delicious! (At least the ones we tried were) Being a donut connoisseur, like most Americans, I was happy to see they were attempting to stand out by offering a wide selection of ingredients and combinations, instead of just having simple donuts like plain glazed. The coffee was good also! We both got the Bourbon Caramel and loved it! A little more expensive than regular black coffee because of the flavoring, but totally worth it! I mean, if I want plain coffee I brew it in my house, so when I treat myself I want it to be tasty! We definitely recommend this place!

The donuts are so cute and the perfect size. Unfortunately, the staff was so caught up in chatting with one another that it made me feel unwelcomed. Maybe if a manager was on duty theyd be a bit more professional. The young lady that took my order either failed to tell the other one that I wanted my donuts divided into 2 boxes or she just didnt care. When I told her that I needed them divided, I sensed a bit of an attitude. When she finished, I asked for a bag to put my boxes in. She handed me a bag. There were 3 staff working this morning, around 10. There were only 2 other customers. In my opinion, they could have treated the customers a bit better.

The customizable doughnuts were fresh, the available toppings to choose from plentiful, and the "Doughnut Artist" did a fantastic job creating a miniature work of art with my choices. It was obvious he cared about the presentation and was great about suggesting flavor combinations so the finished doughnut would taste as great as it looked. As is, Id give them a solid 4.5 stars, which would have been FIVE stars for sure if the coffee was as great as the doughnuts (have to have great coffee with a doughnut, right???)

They have some of the best donuts Ive had in the city. I love both "The Derby" and the strawberry cheesecake flavors. The owner and staff are very friendly, and the coffee that Ive ordered has never been bitter or tasted burnt. I dont get to go very often now since their shop hours have changed to closing at noon during the week, but it is a great place.

Metropolitan donuts allows you to customize what you want on your donuts and theyre the only donut place in Lexington to make mini donuts. My favorites were the Piglet and then my own customized version with fruity pebbles. The coffee is delicious too...My only complaint is that they need a large size for coffee in addition to their standard medium.

Their website states they have a chocolate or old fashioned donut. At the store however they only have old fashioned and a "flavor of the day" which was a bigger old fashioned donut. Annoying. They were friendly and I didnt try the donuts or coffee since they didnt have what I wanted so I cant rate the actual food.

Dont waste your money.. it was mediocre at best.. they dont even have glazed. And VERY expensive .. I consider myself a doughnut connoisseur I get them at different shops when I travel and I am not impressed. One was inedible and my "coffee" tasted like warm sour creme. Steer clear of this flop!

This is a wonderful coffee shop type of place. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You can pick one of the many, many donut selections they have OR you can create your own! They have tons of toppings and donut cake sekections. The prices are very reasonable. Its a great place.

Awesome doughnuts! I love the verity, service was amazing all the employees were friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and inviting. And coffee was great. I will definitely be coming back again. Would give more stars if they would let me.

Adorable donuts, we tried all 7 of their flavors and loved almost all of them. Definitely would go back, especially to do the build your own donut. A little pricey for the size ($1 each), but still good for the experience and uniqueness.

While the donuts were tasty enough, I found it incredibly unreasonable to pay what I did for 6 TINY donuts. They tasted good but their bite sized nature seems inefficient for the employees and felt unsatisfying. Will not be back.

Their donuts are delicious and you can design your own donut. My kids and I loved it. They are very reasonably priced. Great place to go for adults and kids to go if you enjoy donuts. They also have coffees that are great.

Artisan donuts. Basically little fancy donuts, $.75 for ~bite sized donuts with a bunch of different toppings. Definitely trying a coffee drink next time.
