Called the store to get assistance about a shoe. Called the footwear department and waited for 10 minutes for someone to pick up. Had to call customer service to get help. Employee answered with a tad of an impatient tone. She didnt put me on hold and let me listen to all the wonderful drama in the background. It took us awhile to figure out my problem. In the end I am going to get my shoes later this afternoon from the store. I understand retail can be frustrating, but it is important to not sound impatient on the phone when helping customers.

This store is always a disaster. Merchandise is usually everywhere, they have 12 checkout lanes, but only two people working them. Buying anything there is a complete hassle because you cant checkout for 20 minutes. I would assume that management and all the employees are in the back wasting time. Go to Dicks Sporting Goods instead.

The price on a royals t shirt was marked 16.99 on the manufacturers tag then Academy Sports marked it up $3 to 19.99 with a sticker. The cashier rang it up 19.99 I asked her why its not the cheaper price she said its because its a markup I told her to keep it took my business somewhere else and probably wont go back.

Best prices on running shoes. I always find the best deals at this store. They also have a really great line of sports clothing. They sell a nice selection of guns as well with knowledgeably sales people. Always a great experience with great prices..

They like to call out straw sales. Dont bring a friend. If you do bring a friend, dont talk to them. Calling out a straw sale makes a small man feel like he is big. I was not making a straw sale.
