Ive never written a review before for the simple fact that I dont like to say negative things about people or their place of business, but this trip really aggravated me. Ive bought many pairs of work boots from Gellco and very seldom have I received what I would consider to be adequate service. I brought my father in law this time so he could get him a pair of boots to where around the farm (This was about 4:40 pm). It took the guy that was assisting us about 10 min. to find something that he liked and the guy helping us was very friendly. After the guy took the boots up to the front desk we went over to look at the firearms. It was getting close to closing time. Id say it was about 4:50 pm. As we are looking in the hand gun displays the guy behind the counter started turning all of the lights off in that area. He never once asked us if we needed to look at anything. As we were just about finished looking he turned more lights off behind us. I feel like this is very poor customer service. I worked retail in my younger days, and you always make the customer feel welcome until everyone is out of the store. I very rarely go to Gellco anymore because of the service. If I go now its only so I can use my boot voucher from work. Other than that I shop online. Its a real shame to have a local place where you can go lay hands on a quality product before you decide to purchase it, yet you dont want to go for the fear of being treated like youre not welcome. I think they could do a lot to improve on their customer service. Im sure this has nothing to do with the owners, and Im sure they are great people, but someone needs to coach the employees a little more.

Great absolutely wonderful employees that will assist you with anything you need and help you in the right direction. The bow and firearm selection beats anything I have seen and if there is something you already had in mind they can order it. I have ordered in many an oddball item. The bow guys will take care of you as well i am a outdoorsman in all aspects. This review would be a five star however I have met the owner twice now and his attitude differs greatly from his workers. He looks at you like a walking wallet nothing more. Has absolutely nothing to say to a customer will look right past you. I got stared down and not even a hello. Have had the displeasure of checking out and did not get two words not even a find everything okay. I understand that you "make the big bucks" but try a little humbleness and be a gentleman it goes a long way here in the south I am not the only customer that feels this way.

I too get a work shoe voucher and was very disapointed to find out they close 5 min before closing after driving 40 min from oklahoma ! Bummer.. I know what I was going to get and would have waited outside if need be! So free boots are the only thing I will be getting from them in the future...I called ahead and asked when they closed and I made it ! all for nothing.. My opinion aside I HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM , but did not see them for myself......................

I love gellco they care about the customers and always have the best price because of them i am able to feed my family just from hunting ive used them for 9 years and ill never go anywhere else thank you Richard for always having the best prices and having good customer service
