Awful prices and lack of selection in the produce dept have sadly drawn me to Walmart; and I hate the corporate bigotry of Walmart. Before that super Walmart was built this grocery store was actually decent.Thats what you get when you dont stay competitive. Their liquor/beer prices are equally horrific; buy your booze at the hyvee in pappillion. Theres $10-15 difference in price on most bottles of bourbon. I can sometimes get a 1.75 L at the same price the Shenandoahs hyvee is trying to sell me a 750 mL. I can see a little markup for the convenience and it being in a small town, but keep in mind theres a city right up the road. I dont suspect this hyvee to last 5-10 years.

Its a small town grocery store. has expanded over the years to include a very large wine and spirits section - this is the only place within 40 miles we can get our Marsala wine. The bakery is great - love their cakes, donuts, and rolls. The meat counter is also good, the employees are friendly and polite. Not much of a vegetarian or sugar free selection, however.

Only thing that I am going to be disappointed with is the can return policy and how it is done... Ive been to many other Hy-Vee stores and I have never had any problems like at this one.... Other wise... Awesome environment and the people who do love their job make the visit always delightful.... I will have to do my can return elsewhere....

The grocery store is good produce is always good and however the pharmacy I switched to another local one due them being so rude and it took way to long get my sons script

Not impressed when I had to walk through an employees cigarette smoke when I used the liquor exit. No paper towels in the bathroom. Check out lady was very pleasant.

Very polite and helpful staff a decent selection for this size of country store. Its not Omaha or Council Bluffs so dont expect the same kind of selections.
