The location is very convenient, but the morning staff are atrocious. I usually stop in on my way into work in the morning, and the demeanor of the person behind the counter is typically, "Oh god, a customer, could this day get any worse? Woe is me!" I know your life is awful because youre a college student in a bubble who thinks of work as punishment, but please 1) Tell me my total as opposed to giving me a blank stare after ringing up the items 2) Give me any sort of acknowledgment when I do the courtesy of acknowledging you upon walking up to the counter. 3) Act like youre doing your job, not like youre a woeful indentured servant. My significant other and I just stopped in this morning and it was the last straw. There was no coffee (9:30 a.m.), which is no problem whatsoever, but when my significant other asked very politely if the staff could make another pot (as she was about to drive out of state), the woman behind the counter gave a VERY long pause, walked over to the pot and stared at it for a few seconds, and then FINALLY let out a sigh (a SIGH!) before starting to make another pot...the usual scowl on her face that is ever-present at this time in the morning at the L&M. Bottomline: Good location, prices are a little high but not too outrageous, but the staff are absolutely oblivious about what it means to be working in the service industry, as though any business that falls into their laps is an awful burden, an interruption to their phone texting at best.

2 weeks ago my girlfriend and I were double charged for items that we had bought after school. Obviously, this is no big deal knowing that any responsible and caring business would take care of the problem to keep our customer loyalty. Well, this place is not one of those places. It took us around 10 days to get in contact with "the boss" and when he called us back he was rude and unwilling to resolve the problem we had. He often mocked and interrupted what my girlfriend had to say and made us sound stupid for his mistake. Long story short he did not give a refund and we are now responsible for going through a long bank process to take away the charge. Loved the place before but knowing it is run by a stuck up, better than everyone, "business man", my friends and I are taking our business elsewhere.

Theres a reason why this place is always dead while the Kum & Go a block away is crammed with customers. The no-backpack-rule is absurd for a store on the edge of a college campus. Most people are not comfortable handing over the personal belongings to a stranger. Also the $5 minimum on credit card purchases is a pain. These rules dont exist at Kum & Go because the want to encourage people to shop there, not discourage them. Also they charge to use their air compressor while Kum & Gos is free. Not really sure how this place is still in business.

I was returning cans. The staff did not want to deal with me and encouraged patrons to actively threaten me with violence.

The liquor selection is wider than an average gas station store. The staff is a little bigoted though.
