Great spot to buy and sell used goods that range from essentially new to, youre seriously selling that? The prices range from excellent to a little on the pricey side for used goods, but overall, weve found a good of amount of usable stuff here. Theyve got things sectioned out nicely so most things are easy to find. The clearance section is located in the basement for those interested in giving items a home and they have a relatively nice selection of tables/chairs and household furniture if youre new to the area. Youre probably saying to yourself, "this sounds like goodwill". Its similar with two major differences. 1) You dont get a tax write off for donations and 2) You get some of the money your items bring. If you bring items in and they decide to keep them you get up to 40% of the items price if it sells within a week or two and generally 25% if it takes longer. You just call up and see how much youve made every few weeks and pick it up - sort of like a long term yardsale with more turnover! Definitely worth checking out if youre looking for items that dont need to be new. Weve picked up tons of under-armor-esk shirts of biking as well as some random things like a wine rack, some DVDs and a few dresses and what not for my wife. Bottom line - better stuff than goodwill and you can make some money if you bring your stuff by and are willing to let someone else take the bulk of it. Great staff and a sweet little coffee shop as well. Additionally, they will often do things like give 20% off your purchase if you give money to their charity of the month. Pretty sweet idea and it benefits everyone involved!

In a nutshell: Ill continue to shop at Stuff because I love the furniture selection, but I was disappointed in their lack of consideration for some elderly acquaintances. Stuff is a GREAT place to purchase. Ive bought much of my own furniture there -- but I was pretty disappointed in the staffs courtesy while dropping off furniture for consignment recently. I was helping some elderly acquaintances bring in furniture from their family estate. The loading area for dropping off furniture is located downstairs, right next to the cash register. We were aware that they dont help unload - thats why I was brought along to help - but she wouldnt even poke her head around the edge of the door into the back of the Uhaul and tell us if there were any obvious no-gos. It was literally a trip of 15 feet from where she was standing into the back of the truck, and we had arranged everything in the back of the truck to it was easy to view. The thing is, the guy I was helping was 70 years old. If it had been only me, I wouldnt have minded so much, but she could easily have saved a 70 year old man the trouble of carrying large furniture items inside -- only to be told to cart some of it back out. Her flat-out refusal to do so just left a bad taste.

Their so called store wide Saturday July 10th, 2010, 1/2 price sale was a load of crap. Anything that would have been a good buy at 1/2 price was not included in their "big" sale. In addition, the buy early bird blue card was nonsense, as they were taking cash at the door to let people who did not have the early bird blue card get in. A big waste of time, and anyone who thinks they got a good deal from this sleazy store must be rocking some heavy duty medications!! I would have given them a lower rating, but sadly, there is nothing for a negative rating lower than poor.Anyone who got up at 5a.m. to take advantage of their early bird sale, will feel as cheated out of important sleep as I do. I will never be fooled by these A$$#oles again!!

I love Stuff! I prefer this location over the Iowa City one because I can always seem to find a lot more clothes and little trinkets here (I collect Japanese things and I find them a lot here). Overall, I prefer Stuff way more than I do Goodwill. Prices are also pretty reasonable too, depending on what you buy. You can occasionally come across some stuff that makes you think why the heck are they selling this, but for the most part the quality control here is pretty good.

Even with the 60-40 split plus special discounts on the items you consign, you make more money than if you sold your items at a garage sale..... an added bonus is you dont have the headache of pricing everything and the expense of advertising for a garage sale. A fun store to shop for bargains of good quality items. I like their recycling concept and their charitable giving, as well. Just an all round fun place to consign items and to shop.

Two floors of well-organized consignment, everything under the sun... Whats not to love? Ive been shopping at Stuff, Etc since their only store was a little place over near Kmart in Iowa City... Theyve now grown to five cities and multiple locations. This is the place to find a brand new $100 designer dress marked down to $4, or a vintage couch that fits your decor perfectly.

Stuff has a wide selection of second hand item available for purchase, but not everything is a bargain. Im not sure who prices some of their stuff, but theyre in a different world if they think someone would buy used items at the prices they have listed sometimes. Its hit or miss--just have to keep an eye out for the good stuff.

Stuff Etc. is one big garage sale. You can make some extra cash and find some great deals. I particularly enjoy shopping the used furniture in their basement. You can find some quality pieces for much cheaper than youd buy them for full retail somewhere else. With a little TLC, theyre as good as new anyway!

For a consignment store it is very expensive. Many over priced items. This was very noticeable by the mass number of clearance items in the lower level. This area was full of these items. By checking the prices and comparing to like items at the area Mall, the Malls prices were better.

I usually love coming to stuff but today I tried to try on ONE pair of shorts with my daughter (who was in a stroller) and was told no. Had to get a manager involved who helped me out and made an exception but man, that girl at the dressing room should probably get a different job.

The expansion is now complete and Stuff is better than ever. Wide selection, fair prices and fairly nice quality selections. Quite reliable for decent furniture and clothing. There is even a coffee shop!

Great consignment store. They have an excellent assortment of clothing, toys, and furniture. All in great condition. You may also consign your items there as well and get cash or store credit for them.

This place can be hit or miss. Some of the prices are not worth the purchase to me. With that said I have found several deals here over the years. They have tons of stuff too

Great selection, good prices. Be sure to check out the furniture and clearance items in the basement, which is fully accessible via the elevator.

Great selection and friendly staff. I prefer to go to Goodwill first, but I often find myself here as they have a better selection of clothing.
