Was referred to this quaint little pub by a co-worker, now my family and I are hooked! First Friday of every month is rib night and they are to die for! Saturday night is prime rib night which is wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth greatness! The atmosphere is fun - they have marshmellows you can roast at your table and a spider (fake) on a fishing line for your kids to torment patrons on the lower deck! Worth the drive from Cedar Rapids (about 20 minutes)

We love the general store - especially Sundays during open mic. The thing that keeps us from giving it five stars is the service. The servers themselves are super sweet, but theres a tiny kitchen and food (and many times drink) service is slow. Love the additional seating upstairs, but simply cutting back on the bar size and selling perhaps just the beer upstairs would solve part of this rather than removing the whole bar as was done?

This place was wonderful. The wait staff was very friendly. They gave my friends daughter a sack of old bread and took her out to show her how to feed the fish. The food was really good and there was plenty. They have complimentary marshmallows to toast at the end of your meal. The decorations are adorable. There is seating inside and out. It would be very scenic in the summer. I will so go here again!!

Food is good. Atmosphere is great. However on one occasion my friend left his wallet on the table. They did not see it when the table was cleared. Reason being it was not found, the wallet had over $200 stuffed in it. A couple months later, I left my high-end sunglasses on the table and same thing, they never saw them. Weird. Lessons learned. Patron beware of servers lack of character.

Come in and join in on the fun atmosphere take a hike through our new path beside the building! Ask about the local bands on certain Thursdays and Saturday nights! Dont forget to grab one of our famous WapsiRitas! The tiny kitchen is always pumping out amazing meals! Finish your night with the roasting marshmallows dipped in an adult treat for free! We cant wait to see you!

Waited half hour to get seated (Friday night), waited about forty-five minutes for our food, and I was disappointed in the chicken strips but the waffle fries, burger, cheese nuggets, and dressing were all great. Burger toppings were fresh and crisp. Wait staff was friendly and seemed to work well together. Next time Id like to try the pulled pork sandwich.

Love this place! The ribs that are served on the 1st Friday of the month are mouth watering! Gotta get there early though, they tend to sell out quick! The staff is "THE WINNER"! With all of the customers that show up on any given night they are so friendly and they make sure you are satisfied... No doubt a 5 Star Rating :)

General Store Pub is a great place to spend an afternoon for some great food and good company! During nice weather the deck opens overlooking the Wapsi River, offering a view not found with many other restaurants. Sunday evenings enjoy music with open mic night, drinks and dance!!

First time trying out General Tore Pub. It was delicious!!! Best burger I have had in a long time and our waitress offered one of the best customer services Ive ever received at a restaurant. We will be going back soon and would recommend it to others.

A friend & I had a wonderful experience of patronizing this establishment about 2 years ago. It has the coziest atmosphere of the old west. The food was absolutely terrific, & the employees were all so kind. I WILL BE returning again soon.

This is a great little "Secret" spot. I dont think Ive ever had a bad thing on the menu, and the house drinks are a treat! When the weather is nice, you can go out on the deck that overlooks the weather and enjoy the view!

Happy we made the short drive from the Americinn. Beautiful location + great atmosphere + fantastic food. Family friendly: my 9 yo daughter loved roasting free marshmallows at the table for dessert.

We went up for our sons 27th birthday. Nice drive up there. We sat outside and enjoyed the river view, boaters, kids feeding the fish, and the view. The food was excellent! We will be back.

Great food, excellent service, if you are canoeing the Wapsi river, you can pull ashore take the steps to the front door, they have an outdoor deck overlooking the river... Very cool!
