My friends call me a coffee snob b/c I am quite particular when it comes to my caffeinated beverages. When I heard that a new cafe had opened a couple of years ago in Peru, I figured Id give this place one shot (no pun intended) at an Americano, but to be honest, my expectations were quite low. Best Americano I had ever had...literally. I was blown away by the quality of the coffee and by the amazing flavor that I experienced. Plus, my barista (who turned out to be the owner) was one of the nicest people I had ever met and her knowledge of all things coffee was astounding. When Im in Peru, I make it a point to get into Aroma Coffee Shop and experience the atmosphere, the people and the coffee. When Im not in Peru, sometimes I go out of my way to get there just for another cup of that goodness and another smile from Heidi, the owner. If youre in the area or if youre just driving 31 past Peru, its worth a stop into Aroma Café. I promise youll be back.

I have experience in the coffee business and make an attempt to try local shops on my travels. I stopped in and was warmly greet, promptly served a red eye and handed my donut. The minimum amount to use a card is 5 dollars (I have to remember that for next time) and I didnt have cash. Not only did they allow me to have my order on the house but I was also impressed with the taste of the donut, which was surely baked just a few hours prior. As well the quality of the coffee was excellent. The atmosphere of the shop was inviting and suitable for staying awhile and getting some work done if need be. Overall Im incredibly impressed with the food, drink, speed and friendliness of Aroma. The kindness of the lady behind the counter really made my day and the coffee and donut were icing on the cake!

Wow!! I got an Iced Mocha to go with coconut milk. It was amazing! I almost cried when I accidentally dropped it ten minutes later while on a walk--it was so good! Barista was so kind and helpful. Definently going back again. Love the cozy ambiance. Plus, the smell of the bakery is heavenly. I would totally indulge if I wasnt gluten-intolerant.

Nice relaxing place to drink some coffee, like Starbucks but instead of lining the pocket of some big wig in a corporate office, the money stays part of our local community. Support local business, support our town. And, this is the only place you can get DeRoziers donuts from without buying in bulk so theres that too. Mmmmm doooooonuts

This place used to be amazing when the red headed woman owned it. All of a sudden that cancerous cupcake shop took over. There is a HUGE difference when it comes to the taste. This place is now the last place I am ever going to go to when I want to get some coffee and a donut.

Hard to be disappointed when this place is the main attraction of coffee shops in the area. Stop in and grab a quick cup youll wish you did later.
