Totally dishonest. Assistant Manager Linda refused to provide a refund on a book purchased there because she said, "it looks used." It wasnt, of course. She and the company can only take money, not honestly refund it on a valid purchase. Keep in mind this store is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. That is how "judgmental" is spelled: SBC. To the reviewer who was looking for a Catholic book, well, these folk are dead sure you are going to Hell, and there is no way you can escape that. On behalf of true followers of Christ, I apologize for the way you were treated under a roof with the word "Christian" across it. I have had issues with the staff of this store not being knowledgeable about translations of the Bible, well-known evangelists, doctrine, and best-selling theological studies. You ask them something and they just stare into space or send you to the card section. You will find extreme right-wing propaganda on their shelves, ghost written for Jim DeMint, Sarah Palin, assorted Bushes and Newt Gingrich. This fiction and their "authors" have nothing to do with the salvation provided by Jesus Christ. The merchandise they carry is popularly known as "Jesus Junk." In the Fall, they have tiny bags of candy corn with Bible verses on each one and sell them as "Jesus Harvest Seeds." I recently ordered a textbook from this excuse for a "store" and they told me it would take 7 days to arrive. That alone is ridiculous! Seven days to obtain one book from another bookstore?! Then, when the book had not arrived in 7 days, they said, "its 7 to 10 days." When 10 long days had passed, and I once again asked about the book, I was told, "its 7 to 10 business days." Nice try. Another time I was told "our RECEIVER didnt come in today, so no one opened the mail." Dear Lord. Its likely they never ordered it. The last time I tried, the manager put me on hold and never came back. This is how Southern Baptists lie and cover it up. LifeWay will sell you a flimsy piece of plywood with a Bible verse on it for $75.00, but they cant do something as simple as transfer a book from one store to another and tell the truth about it.

I have been to this location several times and purchased multiple items at each visit. However, each time I have visited I have never been greeted or offered any help, only watched as if I were going to steal something. The petite lady with short hair that works afternoons is very rude. I watched her be short with other customers during their transactions as well with me. At my last visit I ended up leaving as she was beginning to ring up my items and had a rude demeanor, making sarcastic remarks. This is supposed to be a store that represents love and encouragement but instead I only encountered a judgemental, holier than thou, you are interrupting me experience. I will never spend another dollar at this location. I will travel further to the southeast side location because their customer service is much more pleasurable.

Very snappy and judgemental. I was raised Catholic and am now nondemoninatial Christian but was looking for a few items that I wouldnt designate solely Catholic. However I was informed that they didnt carry "anything that Catholic" and should look "somewhere downtown." Last I checked Catholic was still part of the Christian family, just apparently not here. It was about a half hour till they closed so I figured id look around at the books and see what I could find but they kept wandering past and staring at me until eventually they turned off the music. I left without buying anything and will not be back. Very bummed.

Every time Ive shopped at this Christian store, the experience was very positive! The store is laid-out very well & everything is easy to find. The staff seems to be very friendly to customers as they enter the store. Our family will continue to shop at Lifeway!
