Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied! I am a college student who has decided not to take out student loans and pay for my college as I go. I went into the Used Car Factory looking to purchase a new car. My budget was roughly $7,000 and Nick, who was nice at the time, showed me a 2013 Ford Fusion SE with about 71,000 miles on it and said he could sell it to me for $8,500 plus tax. That deal would also come with a 3-month 4,500-mile warranty. He wrote all of this on the back of his business card and I thanked him and left. I got pre-approved for the loan amount that I would need and called Nick the following Monday asking if they had received the title yet for the car so that I could take it to my mechanic to get it looked over. He said that he had not received the title and to remember the price of $8,500 plus tax was firm and non-negotiable. I told him that was not a problem and that I would call again in a couple of days to check the status of the car. That Friday I called and asked to speak with Nick. He was not in but his father, Jim, was. I asked Jim if the title of the car was in yet, at this point it had almost been 2 weeks, and he said no. He then asked what price I was quoted for the car. I repeated what his son Nick had previously said on two occasions, "$8,500 plus tax." Jim then went on to tell me that he could no longer give me that price for the car. He said Nick had no business making that verbal agreement with me, and his wife, who does the financing, would never let it go for so little. He also explained that one of his workers had been driving the car to and from work and said it was totally fine. I said okay and hung up the phone and immediately called my parents and told them what happened. A little later I called back and asked Jim when Nick would be in again. He said Monday and I thanked him and hung up the phone. He then tried calling me back and I did not answer. My dad decided to stop by later that day and asked Jim what was going on and what they could do to mend the situation. Jim told my dad that he could not let the car go for so little and that he could possibly sell it to me for $9,500. My dad said that he would talk to me because he was unsure if I would want to spend that amount on a car, let alone buy a car from them. He also explained to them that I am in college and paying for almost all of my tuition in addition to a car payment. Jim said that if I would have gotten this deal in a written agreement that he would have to honor it. My dad came home and repeated all of this to me to which my response was pulling out a business card from the Used Car Factory with Nick Wheelers name on the front. On the back of the card, in Nicks handwriting, it reads, "13 Ford Fusion SE, 71K miles, 1 owner, $8,500 + tax, 3 month 4,500 miles warranty." I also told my dad that on Monday Nick had said the price was non-negotiable. My dad was kind enough to drive back over there to show Jim the business card. My dad told Jim, "My kids were raised on their word is their word, their handshake means just as much as any contract. Here is Nicks card with his writing on the back on the deal he made with my daughter. Nick told her the price was non-negotiable but obviously, it is, but only if you want to raise it." Jim threw the card back at my dad saying Nick would call me tomorrow (Saturday). A few days have passed and I have not heard anything from anyone at the Used Car Factory. They cant be trusted on deals that they make. I dont want someone to make the same mistake I did.

Excellent customer service! This company cares about the kind of cars they put on their lot. Upscale cars, but not over-priced. Its family-owned and operated (super nice people!) Not pushy and they listened to our wants and needs and matched us with the perfect car. I would definitely buy from the Used Car Factory again and will forever refer my friends and family. I wish all of our car-buying experiences were this great! Thank you!!
