4/21/12 Bought six 40lb bags of topsoil / compost from Ellettsville True Value Hardware at about 20 min till closing on a Saturday. I m a 52 year old woman and I asked if someone could help me move the bags into my car. I was told by the elderly checkout person that he was only one of 2 staff in the store, while behind me a man that looked tall and hefty enough and younger than me was closing out the other cash register. (There were no other customers in the store). I said, I ll see what I can do. And the elderly gentleman said after that that he d see what he could do, but it sounded iffy at best. I managed with some difficulty to load all the bags in my car. No one ever came out to check on me, offer to lift the bags with me (only 20 lb if you split it 2 ways), or help in any way. No new customers had walked into the store. It sorta hurts my soul that men aren t willing to offer women a hand anymore. I will take my business elsewhere.

My mower would not start and I explained all of the details to the mower guy and he was extremely helpful. The problem happened to be something that was much cheaper than expected. These guys were really honest and super helpful. Thank you from a new mower user!

Ellettsville a True Value has had a major in store remodel. The layout is great, employees are always helpful. You might save by driving all the way to a big box store but they are close and always helpful making your selections.

Horrible, old geezer downstairs is lazy and mad because he has to work, i could fix things quicker than him. Horrible business ran by lazy people
