I had a horrible experience at this store yesterday and solemnly swear NEVER to shop here again... I waited in line for 50 MINUTES to checkout my cart of groceries. I have never waited that long at any other store in my life... I wish that I had just left after the first 15-20 minutes, but after waiting 30+ minutes, you feel like you have to wait it out so that the previous 30 minutes of your life were not a complete waste of time. There were many people waiting for long periods of time, some who waited even longer than I did, and nothing was done to remediate the situation or apologize to the customers. Only 3-4 lanes were open and the cashiers at those lanes did not seem to be in any hurry to get people checked out and to shorten the ridiculously long lines. Once in the 50 minutes, another checkout lane did open, but it was the people at the end of the lines (who had been waiting the least amount of time) who were given the opportunity to dash over to the new lane, and those of us who had been waiting longer, 30+ minutes at that point, were not given priority to go in the new line. There were more than a few Walmart employees standing around not doing anything, rather than opening new checkout lines to help with the long wait. For example, one female employee was standing and doing nothing at the jewelry counter. When a fellow shopper asked if she could open a new checkout line to help things move faster, she said that she "had to wait by the jewelry counter in case someone wanted to look at jewelry." Surely she could have given 20 minutes helping with checkout rather than doing absolutely nothing, especially when so many customers were waiting for such long periods of time. Additionally, shoppers at the end of the line next to me, who had been waiting about 30 minutes, were told that they needed to switch lines because the cashier for that lane "needed to leave." The women at the end of the line argued that they had been waiting for 30 minutes and were not about to switch lines, and they were allowed to stay in the line they were in, however, I thought it was rude to even suggest that people waiting 30+ minutes would have to switch lines and wait an additional 30-45 minutes... By the time I finally was able to put my groceries on the conveyer belt (after about 50 minutes of waiting in line), the cashier did not apologize AT ALL for the long wait. A simple "Im so sorry for the delay" would have been appreciated. All in all, I left the store AN HOUR after getting in the checkout line. I wish now that I had just left my full cart in line and went to another store to make my purchases. I had such a horrible experience that I plan to never shop at this Walmart again, even though it is the closest grocery store to my home and they do have low prices... I would rather drive 15-20 minutes to a better store, since if I have to wait 50+ minutes in line at this Walmart, Id still be done much faster shopping elsewhere. I had seen that this store had bad reviews on Yelp, but I had shopped there a few times with no problems (I just moved to the area)... but after yesterdays experience, I will not return to this store again.

Experience was HORRIBLE! Went in to the auto center for a wheel swapp and left on a tow truck. While swapping my aftermarket wheels for my OEM wheels and tires for the winter they managed to cross thread some wheel studs on both front wheels and scraped up the OEM wheels trying to remove center caps. Not sure what reason they had for trying to remove center caps but they tried. Manager explained that he can pay for towing to any shop of my choosing since car was unsafe to drive and warned me that if damages exceed $400/500 (he wasnt really sure) that I would have to pay for the damages out of pocket and file a claim. Towed car to dealership, dealer explains that damage to wheels and studs are well going to exceed $500 for repairing of studs and resurfacing wheels . After 5 days (it happened on a Friday and the time waiting for parts added up to 5 days) I paid out of pocket for repairing of wheel studs just to get my car back seeing as its been 5 days allready and couldnt afford to be without a car. I could have easily asked for a rental but I knew it was just gonna add to my out of pocket expense and could not afford it at this time. To this point I have only had contact with claims dept. twice. (Since 11/17/16) besides the countless voice messages I have left. It takes on average at least 12 min. just to get to an operator, operator asks for a claim number and emediately forwards your call to answering machine of claims adjuster handling claim. I have the claims adjusters extension, i dont need to be transfered to his VM, Ive done that all ready, I have left several message for claim adjuster for at least 3 days in a row and have not heard from him. I couldnt even get the chance to ask to speak to a manager before I was transferred to VM. Very frustrating process, a simple service managed to be performed by a multitude of shops in the area that are fully competent in performing turned in to a nightmare. I have been a loyal customer for countless years, I am an OTR truck driver and live in this are. I religiously use WALMART stores and facilities through out the country but this experience will make me rethink my choices from this moment forward. Very disappointing and not to mention the frustration.

All I can say is, well, its a Walmart, which means that quality-wise its not much better or worse than virtually any other Walmart. (Okay, maybe this one is slightly better than average.) Now, quantity-wise this location is obviously much bigger, hence "Supercenter" as it is located way up in Lake County, and big box retailers tend to get larger the further you get from major city centers, reaching maximum size at the outer edge of metropolitan areas. As a point in its favor the in-store restaurant is none other than the fine, fancy Irish-American eatery known as McDonalds! Irony aside, note that Subway is the standard in-store restaurant for Walmart, and though I have no love for McDonalds and consider it the second worst major American fastfood restaurant, I do find it superior to disgusting Subway. My biggest problem with this store is that I fear that ammunition is not safely stored. They had boxes of live ammunition on an open, unguarded shelf, with more "safely" under lock-and-key (i.e. behind a very flimsy glass window). I do not think that is at all safe, maybe not even in legal compliance. Adding insult to injury, it took an inordinately long time for personnel to assist us. The long wait was annoying and inconvenient, but a minor concern next to safety. Live ammunition ought to be safely and securely locked up in back storage, or behind a counter constantly attended. The latter would not only make for faster service, but would be safer. Even though the shelves were monitored by security camera, with signs warning to that effect, I dont see how that will deter any and all would-be thieves from swiping boxes of ammo off the shelf or even resorting to a smash-and-grab. FIX YOUR $H!T, WALMART!
