We bough a washer/dryer (LG) and the sale associate was very helpful until the delivery day. The third party that home depot use for delivery was very rude and they only do whats written on the stone. no common sense. All they had to do was to reposition the valve to install the dryer but they left the units in my garage. When the day came for installation, there was a big dent on a washer but the delivery guy would not take the unit back. I had come to the store for exchange. Now its a different sale associate and claiming that I cannot return and its not their fault. they will send the LG tech to change the dent. I was like WTF!!! The sale person would not even want to help...so i had to deal with the store manager. I insisted that i should get a new unit but then this stupid associate charge me the full price, not the same price that i originally purchased. Cashier told me that i had to pay the difference. I was like WTF!!! Called the manager again to fix the problem. This whole process took me 5 hours!!! Its a good place for DIY, but if you need their help with installations and appliances, I would go to Lowes...Dont expect too much from customer service. Rude and lazy!!!

Menards is just down the street and much friendlier people work there. This store is not well staffed, and it seems like the turnover is really high because the employees arent very knowledgeable and seem disgruntled. I asked one employee if he could cut a piece of carpet padding. Somehow the conversation ended with the employee shouting down the aisle as I walked away, "what, you think youre so smart?" which doesnt seem like a good way to talk to a customer. Another time 3 separate employees couldnt figure out where the sink mounting nuts were: the first said they didnt know, and that was it. The second walked around for a while until we ran into a 3rd, who was convinced a nut for connecting PVC would work.

Jen from the front desk has absolute terrible customer service!!!! I went in trying to return a propane grill that I received for Christmas and did not have a recipt but I was told to bring it in and it would be not a problem to get a store credit to get a new one because mine was broken! I just wanted a exchange. The First Lady I dealt with was very nice. But as soon as Jen got into it she dealt with everything the wrong way and had such a terrible attitude. Everything I said she replied with "nothing I can do for you" and you could tell she hated life. Worse Home Depot I have been to just because of her. She deserves to work in a warehouse with no customer service experience.

Horrible, unbelievable experience with house renovation project. I cant even begin. I feel like I should be paid to coordinate between contractors and home depot. I went as far to call corporate to let them know what was happening and of course still nothing done. Do not get any professional services through this store. I have lost almost 2 months of rent from a tenant from jobs being pushed back due to incompetence from contractor and store. Communication is terrible. I have never been so disappointed in a business. I had a great experience from Elgin home depot in past which is why I used them. If only my time and money meant anything to these people. They dont care.

This location is the worst , customer service couldnt be any worse , they dont care about you , sometimes they ask you to go to menards and other places , they need more training , I think the main problem is the manager , she is always overwhelmed and she has no clue how to take care of this business , I dont think the head office is aware of this manager who should be replaced ASAP The only reason I keep coming to this Home Depot because its 0.5 mile from my house but always I got frustrated and I get no help and talking to the manager is the worst part I would take additional few miles drive other than wasting my time is this place

Just like every other HD, except this one just seems to run a little bit smoother. They place is incredibly clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer building kits for kids on the first Saturday of the month. Its a great experience for the kids and parents. Just make sure to register before hand in order to be able to participate because it gets pretty crowded. If you dont register, youll still be able to participate, you just wont be able to do the project of the month, youll get stuck with an older project. (Which still isnt bad) just do yourself a favor and register before hand.

I agree with Brandon. The girls at the customer service/return desk are so rude; If it wasnt for young Bryan and Lenny/Lonny? who are so helpful, I would give a rating of a one. Lonny is wonderful. he has helped my husband and I so many times with finding things and giving us information that is so useful. He is so knowledgeable and resourceful. He is so trained to know his stuff. he is very friendly and people person. Because of Lonny, Hussein and I give Home Depot a five. Thanks Lonny!! Take care!!!

Holy cow! Talk about amazing customer service.. Had a crisis... Friend was moving, her piano mover cancelled at the last minute.. Only had a few hours to move her piano and everywhere was closed.. . Called this home depot to rent a truck.. Picked truck up at 7:30,... They close at 10 pm, but manager approved a late return of truck.. Without them this would have been a nightmare. Thanks you soooooooo incredibly much. Manager Jim is really the best example of great customer service.

I think this is a great place. Hardware, construction supplies, cleaning supplies, backyard, whatever you need for the house....Theyve got it! Went there because something was wrong with my garbage disposal. Ended up be helped by a guy who was a retired plumber, and he helped make it an easy fix for me. Thats what I like best about them........No matter what department you walk into, youre dealing with a professional who worked in that industry that they are a sales person for now.

Shockingly bad service. The tall skinny male supervisor with glasses was very rude, and condescending. There were some African American customers in front of me at the service desk returning a drill bit, and when a coworker of his said it looks like they used it, he made a comment saying "all of them do it, they cant really afford these bits, and we really cant do anything about it". I was shocked to say the least. How does this guy still have a job?

Most of the staff is friendly, but we had 2 different bad experiences with a lady in the kitchen department. She acted like we were bothering her and was very cold. Took her a complete 15 minute interaction to be pleasant and Im pretty sure she was just happy to be done with us so she could go back to hiding at her desk. The Home Depot in Bartlett is very friendly in comparison and might be worth the extra drive if youre expecting to need help or advice.
