Went in last week on Monday because they had a "special." $50 for a post-it sized tattoo. I dont have any tattoos, but I was interested in getting two. I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for a long time, and I finally worked up the courage to walk in. Kaitlin (sp?) was the first person I spoke with, and was actually really nice. However, she is apprenticing, so I got to talk to Tim. It was 7 and they closed at 8, so I wasnt expecting to get a tattoo that night, just wanted to see the shop and talk to them about my tattoo ideas. Tim couldnt have been less interested in what I had to say. He kept looking away as I was talking to him, like he was looking for someone more interesting to talk to. After I explained what I was hoping for, he told me to come in tomorrow and talk to Nate. Guess he didnt want my $100. So I came in the next night (Tuesday) and spoke with Nate. Kaitlin was there again, and was nice again, but Nate seemed equally as uninterested in helping me as Tim did the night before. I should mention I went in at 6 this time, fully ready to ink. So after explaining what I wanted to Tim and showing pictures, he asked me to come back the next day so he could have time to draw something up. Understandable, I want it to look nice, sounds fine to me. So, I come in the next day (now Wednesday), around 5:30 this time. Well, turns out Nates not even in again until FRIDAY, which he failed to mention. Would have been nice to know, so I didnt waste yet another trip to this place! Tim is there and looks past me not even acknowledging my existence, smiling at the tatted out dudes sitting in the waiting room, cheerfully asking them to come on back. I see the drawings Nate did, and they looked like he spent an average of 10 minutes on each. One was a keyboard and he didnt even draw it right! It looked like a 2nd grader drew it. I guess he was giving me $50 worth of a drawing. Or maybe the "special" is for the special regulars that already have 17 tattoos. Too bad, they could have possibly made a new regular customer, instead of investing all their customer service on guys that were already regulars. I dont know why other first timers have had such great experiences here, but I will never step foot in this shop again, and I definitely wont recommend this shop to anybody else. Ive never been treated so dismissively in my life, like I was garbage. Maybe this is why they are doing $50 specials.

I got a nose piercing done by Caitlyn and it was my best piercing experience and I have 3 other piercings including a cartilage piercing. She was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She explained why she was doing things that she was as part of the procedure and gave me a heads up on how it would feel, whether a wipe that she is using will be slightly cold or something that she uses will require a little bit of pressure, so it was a good heads up and kept me prepared. The piercing itself was next to painless and Im a huge scaredy cat when it comes to pain. Its been a week and my piercing has not been swollen or infected as I have been following her after care instructions and I love it! To top it all off, the place was very clean and equipment used was sterile. I would definitely go back and get any piercings or tattoos done here in the future. Highly recommend!

Just got my first tattoo on Easter Sunday. Being that it was my first tattoo, I was a pain at first. I had a lot of questions and Nate could not have been any more cooperative. He was informative, helpful and professional. I quickly realized that I was in good hands and this guy knew what he was doing. My first sign was the fact that I had emailed a photo of the image without specifying the size and somehow, Nate had it drawn up to perfection. I had actually brought in a print out expecting that the artist would have to do a last minute modification, but Nate’s drawing matched it exactly! The whole experience was outstanding and I could not be any more satisfied with the end result. A tattoo artist is like a mechanic. If you’re lucky enough to find a GREAT one...you stick with them and I will definitely be back!

Graphic Flesh is the only place I will go for ANY of my body modifications. I first went to Alysha, who does their piercings, when a piercing I had gotten earlier started getting really screwed up. I was a student at IWU in Bloomington, and someone recommended her to me. She saved my cartilage free of charge. Since then, I have gotten six more piercings from her and one tattoo from the shop. She makes the experience comfortable, but also turns it into a more meaningful, spiritual experience if you want to be in that mindset. I got hip dermals, and they are ridiculously symmetrical! They have also lasted YEARS whereas many dont even last long enough to heal. The shops prices are very reasonable, it is extremely clean, and the staff is just plain amazing. Love love love.

I had a piercing done many years ago in a different state and it was done wrong. I went into Graphic Flesh to see if there was anyway to get it done again. Alysha was great and very nice, after examining me she said yes it was possible to get it redone. Through the whole process, she talked me through it and made me feel very comfortable. She discussed after care and wants to see me for follow ups to make sure everything is going good with the new piercing. The shop is clean and the rest of the staff is nice. I highly recommend Graphic Flesh and for my next tattoo, I will be going here.

I had my first tattoo (tribal wolf) done today (8/13/08) by Tim. He did a great job! The shop was very clean and could easily have passed any health inspection. It turned out great for a great price. He was really nice and stopped when I needed a break. We talked casually about random things. He made sure I was completely satisfied before I left. He made sure that I was doing ok while he was doing his thing. They explained everything I needed to know about the aftercare. If I get another tattoo I will definitely go to Graphic Flesh and I recommend that everyone else go there too!

I got my most recent tattoo at Graphic Flesh, done by Roger, and I will be going to them for all of my work from now on!!! They are an award-winning studio & have the trophies to prove it :) He did fantastic work, everyone there was very friendly and had a professional attitude, they do not look down on you if you arent covered head to toe (like Ive had happen at another shop who will remain nameless!). I definitely felt welcome, Roger was excited about the work he was doing, and they quoted me far better prices than at other studios.
