My first and LAST time visiting this store. The cashier immediately ran off to the back when we walked in. I thought that was a little odd, but grabbed my grocery items and waited at the register. Then an older male employee comes storming up and practically yells at me that I need to take my dog outside. Shes a service dog, and I was completely taken aback by his rude attitude. I explained she was my service dog and he got all angry about her not having a vest. Then I explained that under the ADA law, service dogs are not required to wear any special uniform or have paperwork. He seemed to get really angry at that, and just said "fine" before stomping off to the back. No apology whatsoever. Today alone I took her to Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and Michaels. No problems or even questions from any of those stores. The employees here need to be trained on their laws and CUSTOMER SERVICE. His attitude was completely unacceptable. Its a shame that this is a store within walking distance of my house, but I never plan on going back

Usually I have no problems shopping at Dollar General but today I was passing out my business card to an employee there and shortly after leaving began getting harassed. A lady who worked there Brittney began slandering me on Facebook and having others call my place of employment to slander my good intentions. Not only that but threatened to call the IL Dept of Regulations on me by 9 people complaining about the fact that I was unprofessional by giving her a business card and telling her I could help her skin. I dont think that is very nice customer service. She claimed to be an outside sales representative. Im not willing to shop there anymore.

Ignorant and rude people. I will never go back in, ever. Just a whole big bunch of stupid and belligerent. The manager should be chased away with a stick and someone hired that can deal with the public. I was yelled at for bringing my expensive bicycle into the store to leave while I got some batteries. I am in my 40s and tried to explain that they had no place to chain it up outside, but was answered with more bellowing. Extremely low brow and ignorant. Never again.

Service is so so. Not horrible, but not wonderful. I think the management might need to train the employees better, so that they may know how to greet customers and make them feel welcome. Other than that, the prices are what you would expect at any Dollar General. I love going to the dollar store. I stop by here pretty frequently.

The lady that was working or the girl was not friendly at all. I think when you work with the public you should not have a nose ring. She did not ask me if I found everything okay she did not say thank you have a nice day.

Seems like buliding is falling apart and the store is not very well up kept. Only thing they have going is it is convenient for some people.

Everything we need is always in stock. The staff works hard and is very friendly. I like the small town feel at this store.
