I was originally made aware of Perman after doing a New Years Eve Dinner at Girl & The Goat. The sommelier mentioned finding some interesting wine selections through Perman, and I decided to check it out. Im glad I did. The owner is a cool guy who is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help, which is especially great if you dont know a hell of a lot about wine but want to try something good. He also does a great, always-changing 6 for $60 selection, which is a sometimes themed always interesting collection of wine he puts together on the cheap.

Ive heard it called Binnys Express and I cant argue with that. The service from Craig and his team is fantastic. They stock nothing but great wine at competitive price points. The selection of spirits is more limited, but everything they have is top notch. Its a real gem in the West Loop.

My favorite wine store in Chicago! Deep selection of Spanish and Portuguese wines. Love the 6 bottle samplers. Craig is always gives great recommendations for BYOB wine pairings.
