My wife bought a bottle of Dow’s 1980 Vintage Porto to celebrate our getting together in that year. There must have been some cork issues since the port had none of the robust characteristics described by HDH. We tried drinking it anyway since it had cost her nearly $100 but found it was just too off-putting; we couldn’t make it work for cooking, either. When my wife reported this to HDH they said that their policy didn’t allow for replacement or a refund. My wife has cried several times over this disappointment.

I purchased a very important and special 25th anniversary gift with very specific instructions, which I was assured would be accommodated, and this did not happen. Unbelievably disappointed. Im actually quite angry. Spent $165 on one 25 year old bottle with the intention of buying up the remainder of their inventory, however I will definitely procure these goods elsewhere. Buyer beware.

it was a great wine shop until the changed the shipping options. $200 a case! Bring back Fedex and UPS please. Dont know how you can move moderately priced wine with those shipping costs!. Freight Forwarding is not consumer friendly!
