I asked my girlfriend to marry my on Sunday. My mother had given me her first ring so I needed to get it sized for her first thing Monday. Obviously we are both excited and Art Jewelers was our first stop. There was a girl working the counter and the first thing I didnt like was that she made no attempt to come to us. She was in the back of the store and waited for us to walk to her before greeting us. We explained the situation and she couldnt be bothered to even really fain interest. She told us to wait while she looked up the cost for sizing the ring. Well the price is out of this world, CRAZY. They wanted $140 and a week to do the job. If we wanted it same day it was be $230. Mind you, they didnt even know what kind of gold the ring was and it is 18K which usually has a higher price to size up so it could have even been more then this. I also only see the price as $230 since who wouldnt want it the same day vs a week. Thats a crazy price. We took our business to Shane Co. The where extremely nice and helpful, they tested the metal, made the process very clear, explained everything from start to finish and after all that, the price was only $65 and a 2 day turnaround. We asked if there was the possibility of a rush job and they said they dont do that because it always looks like a ploy to get you to pay more, I AGREE. I wanted to support a local, small jewelry store but this left a very bad taste in our mouth. I am sure shane co. can do the job cheaper because of their size but they where SO helpful and nice I would have given them our business regardless of price. I wish we had met the owner Dave, it sounds like he is a nice guy and this may have made a difference but unfortunately we didnt and will not return. You would think that even if they are on commission and not to happy about a re-size they would keep in mind that we are going to be buying two rings for our wedding and want to earn our business. Thats a big loss as I am sure the rings we buy will not be cheap. Anyway, I hate leaving a bad review for a family owned shop but tell your employees to keep in mind that no matter how small the job, there is always a way to make a sale. And above all, dont sour the day after a womans engagement, I was very glad that shane co. could lift her spirits back up.

I took my wedding set to be resized and Art Jewelers lost my rings. Although the jeweler prided themselves on doing all work in house, I was surprised when quoted the cost for resizing my wedding rings and that it would take a week to complete the work. When I did not receive a call in over two weeks, I went to the store. I waited while different employees searched and peered at me from the back of the store. Eventually the owner, Dave Meadows, told me they would need more time to locate my wedding rings. The next day he confirmed that the rings had not been found. Mr. Meadows said he felt it was a "theft" that took place during their stores renovation. He also told me he felt he was a "victim" in this theft. I trusted this store with my wedding rings - the ring my husband proposed with, the ring he put on my finger as he made vows at our wedding, the rings I insisted on wearing for the birth of 3 children no matter how swollen my fingers were - and they allowed them to be stolen. Mr. Meadows was quick to offer to make me a new ring, to give me a "good memory" but I do not want a daily reminder of the nightmare I experienced at Art Jewelers.

I love Art Jewelers! Nothing but great experiences there. I highly recommend them for all of your jewelry. Ive trusted Dave for years and hes never let me down. Thats why it makes me sad to see some of these negative reviews :( It seems like most of the dissatisfaction comes from simple miscommunications and it really doesnt seem fair that Art Jewelers image is being hurt so much by these, in my opinion, rare occurrences. I know Dave is always friendly and accommodating. Please dont be turned off by these couple of negative reviews. I think if you give Art Jewelers a chance youll love them as much as I do :) My experience at Art Jewelers has been everything I could ever ask for and more. I always have a great time there and leave feeling uplifted and at peace because I know I left my jewelry in good hands. I really feel like I can call them my friend. And I KNOW that I can trust them to give me a good deal and do good work. Thanks Art Jewelers! you guys are fantastic.

I had a ring custom made to resemble a certain diamond ring my girlfriend had fallen in love with online but we realized we could not afford (33K!). Dave used his own personal touches of creativity and molded an absolutely beautiful ring, matching the design we brought him for a fraction of the cost (5k!). His flawless precision and acute attention to detail were beyond expectations. Im so thankful I met Dave and his team at Art Jewlers! They were friendly, HONEST, and true artists with a passion for their trade. The service was quick, responsive, and customer driven with a finished product that you cant put into words. Dave has turned an "impossibility" into a "possibility!" Great Job Art Jewlers!

My wife and I went to Art Jewelers to try to get a custom wedding band designed to fit her engagement ring. All I can say is, WOW!!! We cannot be more pleased with the work that Andrew and the rest of the team put in to her rings! The detail that they go into and the ability they have to create such amazing pieces is astounding! I even bought my wedding band there as well, which they took and customized with some hammering that was amazing! Everyone there is extremely nice and very helpful with whatever questions you have, and they really care that their customers are pleased. Would definitely advise anyone with jewelry needs to go to them!

EXCELLENT service! HIGHLY recommend! My experience with Arts Jewelers was nothing less than amazing. I would like to thank Dave, a graduate gemologist and owner, in addition to Andrew, Malachi, and Angelica for helping to design 2 gorgeous, custom rings that are simply STUNNING. I was speechless both times when I picked up my rings. Look no further for a jeweler. Dave is extremely patient and knowledgeable and always gave an honest opinion. Both of my rings were GIA certified with complete appraisals. GREAT family owned business that you can TRUST. I am forever grateful for the experience and look forward to doing business again.

I went to five jewelers before I found someone who "gets it". Honest, candid, listen to the customer, create, and fulfill...these people and Dave in particular (owner) are awesome. I had a difficult loose stone I wanted mounted in a certain way and Dave was all over it. When the ring band I picked out got "backordered" by the manufacturer Dave used their in house CAD program to custom create a mold, cast the ring in house and have it to me on time. In my opinion the best "jewelry store" experience I ever had.
