I visited Rite Aid on Highway 5 in Douglasville, GA on August 30, 2017 to buy my son a gift card for his birthday. I also purchased a couple bubble lined envelopes that were on sale for 59 cents. I finished my transaction and the female cashier put my receipt in my bag and I went to leave. Luckily I do not like my receipt in my bag because I may throw them away on accident so I went to get my receipt out of my bag before I left the premises and the gift card that I just purchased was not in my bag. It was not in the bubble envelopes either. I went back and politely brought this to the cashiers attention thinking she just didnt put it in the bag and she said " I did not steal the gift card sir" although I never made that accusation. By that time a manager came up to the front of the store and I requested him look at the cameras to verify it was never placed in my bag. After waiting for 10 minutes for the manager to check the cameras he returned and verified that the gift card did not somehow fall out of my bag but he did not have a clear camera view of the cashier and bagging area to see if the item ever went into the bag. At that time he issued me a new gift card. I thanked him and I told him I was going to take my previous receipt and make sure the previous gift card got voided so no one would benefit from it and he said that was not possible. I left with the new gift card and sat in my vehicle thinking about calling corporate about this situation.. A couple minutes later the cashier scurried outside and put something behind her back seat unknowing that I was still sitting in the parking lot and ran back inside. I would recommend that no one buy their gift cards from this location but if you do make sure you have it in your hands before leaving the premises. A customer should not have to worry about the employees not placing their purchases in their bags after they are scanned.

My husband and I recently moved to Newnan Ga. after trying numerous pharmacies there, we are now DRIVING BACK TO DOUGLASVILLE (a 45 minute drive) to use this pharmacy. the staff and store associates are friendly and professional......you will be treated well in this store!!!
