WHERE ARE ALL YOUR EMPLOYEES?!? Went there recently and wanted to buy a kayak. Found a kayak on their website that is on sale for $399.99 and had a promo code online for $40 off..So we drove there and found the kayak and loved it, but the price said $424.99. So I wanted to ask an employee and see if they would honor the online price but couldnt find anyone! The store is huge and i had to walk all over the store to try and find someone..I was searching and searching but realized 6 employees were by the cash registers but only 2 were open and only 1 customer was there. They were chatting around.. But anyways, i asked the little guy who worked there if they would honor the price online since he wouldnt honor the coupon since it wasnt from their store. He said they couldnt honor the price either..because they price online is discounted more because shipping cost so much..Im in sales as well, and if that is true, you guys need to close down! btw i couldnt do a buy online and pick up at store because when i tried to check out it said a 12-14 day wait for the shipping to the store. I would not recommend this store. Maybe lake marys will treat us better. I didnt think i was being complicated and did not argue with the guy.. BASS PRO SHOP, DICKS SPORTING GOODS, WEST MARINE may be a better choice.

I feel fortunate to have a Gander store close to where I live, but the customer service needs severe improvement. There is no staff available to assist with anything. Good luck getting in the fitting rooms. I have been going to this store for 8 years and the service keeps getting worse. Ive purchased 2 compound bows from Gander. The archery tech is only in the store on certain days, so you cant just walk in expecting someone to assist you. Ive also purchased several rifles and on one occasion I waited over 45 minutes to be helped and the salesman acted like it was a pain in the ass to get the gun from the back room. Items never ring up what they are marked and the cashiers and managers cant make decisions on the price. They should install a scanner so people can scan their stuff to get actual pricing. The sales items are never marked correctly and when Ive asked someone on the floor for a sales price they literally just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. The management needs to get their act together or Im headed somewhere else even if its farther away.

Went there today 7-8-17 at around 11am to purchased 12 gauge 250 count shotgun shells. There was a sign saying $52 case. When I went to register I was greeted by an long grey hair and grey beard man. He rang up my two items and they rang up $69.99 each. I told him the price was wrong and I was not going to purchase. He just said ok no problem. I went back and took sign off the display and showed him what they should of rang up. He basically said I cant change the price and walked away. U would think after seeing the sign that he might of ask for the manager to see if yes they did ring up wrong. Need less to say I was not happy. I went outside and called them I was ask to come back in and the store manager greeted me I explained what happen and he made it right. The grey hair guy could of care less that he was wrong and made no effort to see how to make things right. Im a very laid back person but this grey hair guy was SO Unprofessional................

Great selection on hiking, fishing boots and other accessories. They have camping, fishing, hunting, guns, rifles, ammo, childrens clothing, shoes and more! Sadly for them, this store is going out of business, but for the rest of us, I have to say the prices are great! Everything in the store is from 30 to 70 percent off right now so hurry in before it all goes. I heard from one of the cashiers that other Gander Mountain stores are having similar sales at the moment. So check them out!

went into gander mountain in st. augustine today and wanted to buy a cup that was marked $4.97. it rang up $6.97. the clerk refused me the lower price. she said it was probably marked wrong but that is not my fault. needless to say I put all my items on the counter and walked out. poor customer service. I should have asked to speak to a manager. so disappointed in that store. wont be going back there again. but would like to know why the clerk wouldnt give me the price on the cup????

Managers are idiots, alarm errors through the night of Jan 8th 2016 so their alarm company send security officer o watch the store and coming in by the morning instead of saying thanks for the watch they called 911 to report burglar and Security officer held up and searched by our lovely st johns sheriff and weapons were drawn for no reason. Good going Gander Mountain, you could have simply speak to security officer and find out for yourself the nature of his presence.

Great place for all your outdoor needs. Large open store, plenty to select from and will probably have what you need. They need more staffing, as it was hard to get help, but they were really friendly when you found someone. One draw back is the prices are on the high side or should I say the retail price side. If you dont need it right away, you can definitely get it cheaper on line. Plenty of parking and well lit.

Terrible customer service. I went to buy a fishing rod and reel hat had the price on it but they couldnt find it in the system. It was the only one they had. After 25 minutes of searching and customers behind me leaving their stuff and leaving the store, I finally told one of the managers to never mind. And they were cool with that! You never not sell something that is in your store and priced. I wont be back.

Cant say anything bad at all about the store or how it is run. Everyone is helpful. If it gets busy, then you may have to wait a little, but come on, that happens everywhere. I cant believe that this store gets bad reviews. Very nice people and as helpful as anywhere you shop. Well stocked and a great selection of firearms and ammo for sure.

I love the place. Everyone is so nice other than one person who I found out with the Manerger. The Manerger bitched me out for no reason. Saying that Im not welcome there. I was in the fishing minding my own not even thouching anything. And he came up to me and told me to left. That I wasnt welcomed there.

I have been here 3 times. Twice to exchange a broken reel. All 3 times I waited forever in the fishing department before somebody finally got there. I have actually received more attention and better service at Walmart. I wish hadnt given them my $300 plus. Last time I step foot into this store.

The place is very overpriced and theyve been "going out of business" for months now. Even under these circumstances prices are still expensive and good deals are basically non-existent. Hardpressed to find anything that you couldnt find online for the same price or less!
