Good evening, Normally i dont do this but after tpdays experience i couldnt let it go. Today around 3:30pm a friend of mine and I went to the Dollar General in Shalimar, Florida. Her son had to use the bathroom really bad, and their were a few things we needed before we headed home. As we came in we immeditly went to the cashier and asked where the bathroom was.the cashier did have a customer, but since her son is a child and had to use the bathroom urgently my friend said "Excuse me, where is your Bathroom" the cashier ignored her. We assumed she didnt hear us or didnt know we were talking to her so my friend tried again. This time she looked right at us with a rudr glare then back at the customer checking out and ignored her again again. Trying again my friend said "Excuse me, my son needs to use the bathroom, where is your bathroom?" She finally gave her the key to the bathroom, and when she started walking towards the back she said, very rudely, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING? THE BATHROOM IS OVER THERE?!?!" So as my friend turned around to walk towards the bathroom my friend replied "It would have been nice if you would have said that before." She said, again very rudely, "I DID!" While this os happening o am still at the regrister trying to get the key for the womans room. I had to ask 4x "may i have your ladies room key please" I also was given rude looks and no response. Then i heard her mutter "I do not have to put up with this. I do not have to take this today" we were completly baffled at this point. We just wanted to run in quickly use the bathtoom and buy our items. My friend said "This is ridiculous." To this cashier screams across the isle "I CAN GO GET MY MANAGER" we told her "okay, please do." The she tells us "I AM THE MANAGER" confused now I ask her "How can you be the manager? You just said you could go get the manager." She finally goes to get the manager, and as soon as he walks up he tell us to leave. Would not let us explain anything just told us to leave. Then as Im trying to tell him what was happening and how his cashier was acting towards us simply for asking to use the bathroom he walks outside to get a cart. Baffled at him leaving the building as two customers were issuing a complaint my friend asked him "where are you going!" He says from outside "getting a cart." Getting that one cart.int he parking lot meant more tl.him than listening to two customers. He had absolutely no interest in what we had to say, no "Im sorry this has happen", nothing. Simply "You need to leave." I find this incredibly unprofessional, and unbelieveably rude. I understand she had a customer, and any other time I would never have interrupted their transaction, however her son really had to use the bathroom. All I did was asking whether the bathroom was. She could have said it would be a moment, or something, however she decided to ignore another customer and then yell at that same customer. Im aware that my business will not hurt this company, however I will never step foot into the Shalimar, Fl Dollar General again. I also hope that you get a better manager for this store, and I hope the managers at the other Dollar Generals in the area are not like this one.i wish I could tell you his name but he turned his name badge around. Im sure the cashier and manager could be found the schedule for the date and time given.

When I first walked in the cashier had a customer, but since my son was dancing having to use the bathroom so bad I said "Excuse me, where is your Bathroom" the cashier ignored me. So, thinking maybe she just didnt hear me I said it again. This time she looked directly at me, the back at what she was doing and ignored me again. I said "Excuse me, my son needs to use the bathroom, where is your bathroom?" 7:30pm. 5-17-17. Im in line waiting to check out. There are two customers ahead of me. There are customers behind me. When I was to be waited on, the black man at the cash register stopped me and had a black friend cut in front of me. Said to me, he was here before you. Lie. But for anyone who sais, reverse racism doesnt hapoen? It happens at the Dollar General in Shalamar Florida. Stay clear if you Non Black.

You can describe these stores best by "controlled chaos". I cant really rate them as a company, but I can say the staff in this store does their best. Ive been in other Dollar Generals, and they are not as clean, and organized as this one. Kudos to a underpaid staff.

Store is too small not very organized. Shelves are cluttered was hard to find some products but the cashier was very friendly

Its clean and you can get most of what you need there. The selection isnt as great as a supermarket but pretty darn good.
