OK shopping experience If youre looking for premier shopping then this store would not be the right one. But if youre looking for a reasonable place to get groceries then the store isnt too bad. Reasonably clean. You have a mixture of employees ranging from ones who are definitely customer service oriented to one who could care less about a customer. Product is pretty good although I did notice some date issues indicating not all stop being rotated. I was frustrated as a diabetic because when I shop at Publix they always have things like sugar free ice cream and so forth and I could not find that at this particular Winn Dixie. I was overjoyed to see no self checkout. The lines moved quickly and the store offers a Rewards Card which gives you access to even better deals I was able to obtain 1012 packs of their check brand soda for $2 apiece. Considering that a bottle of Mountain Dew for example at most doors is a dollar seventy nine this seems like a good deal. Overall it would certainly be an average shopping experience but it did offer many products at a lower price. Yes I would still recommend this to somebody else. The only reason Im giving it a 3 is because they are our competitors in the area that really could be classified to stars above but you pay for it. One other thing Ive noticed going there that I would like to see corrected is there is always someone in front of the door who is asking for money a vagrant or some sort. It makes approaching the store very uncomfortable. Would be advisable to have someone perhaps I rent a guard for a while to keep that away. Still I had an enjoyable shopping experience the Carter ok theyre a little bit bumpy the wheels I wish that they were a little smoother otherwise I felt it was pretty good. Plenty of room to meet ADA requirements for moving around. On a final note I got a very warm reception as I left I rang the bell because the cashier had been very helpful and attentive and I got a round of applause and a very sweet gestures from the customer service desk as I left. Maid leaving a very positive feeling. If you ever saw cheers the TV program it was like when Norm came in.

This store is a JOKE and run into the ground by its manager who clearly should NOT be in charge of a crew much less a grocery store! I almost bought an OPEN item I returned the day before bc rather than throw it away they restocked it. Nothing compared to the entirely defrosted freezers which dont keep food cold let alone frozen at all or the outdated stock on every single shelf or the swarms of bugs you have to fight away to look for any produce that isnt a compost pile... Value markets Luke Safeway and $stores are far safer than this store. I lost hundreds of dollars over the 3 years I had no choice but to shop there and was treated like a theif over too often returning bad food! If all this isnt bad enough they refuse to fire a manager who stole our bicycle and over $150 cash n we got a $10, yes TEN dollar gift card and the pleasure of being waited on by same employee for next full year! Shes still there ripping off customers and being extremely rude to all

Ever since they took out self check its just a huge inconvenience to shop here! Took me 15 mins to buy 1 bottle of juice! No matter the time of day its long lines and 1 cashier! Even service counter is backed up! Shelfs are half empty, they never have what other winn dixi have! Today the manger (tall black man) was getting carts and talking to people instead of helping in store! 2 cashiers and lines was long, customer service had a line! The 20 or less item line was long of people who had more than 20 and no one was asking them to move! People buying 1 item does not need to spend 15 plus mins in line! Meat section always low, hot case has old hard food! Hire more people or close your doors! I will gladly drive to one on fruitville. Very disappointing cause I like across the street!

We go here on a weekly basis religiously. The staff there is wonderful and very friendly. They are extremely helpful with helping the customer find anything there looking for. Only reason I gave a 4 star rating is because I think they need a little more help in the lines at the cash registers. A lot of the times when we go there, there are only one maybe two lanes available for customers and it gets backed up pretty frequently. But other than that I dont have one single complaint. They have great prices they have great deals and with our Plenti Card we have saved a ton! Thank you to the staff at the 17th street and Lockwood Ridge Winn Dixie for all that you do!

When my neighborhood Sweetbay closed, I went into the Winn-Dixie on 17th Street in Sarasota to get a customer rewards card. I was astounded by the poor quality of the customer service, and I was dealing with a woman who appeared to be in management, which makes it even worse. My written complaint to their headquarters was acknowledged by only a form letter. I now do my weekly grocery shopping at Publix, and the difference in customer focus is like day and night.

Sirs, I have been buying my groceries from the Winn Dixie @ Lockwood ridge and 17th street for 45 years. Until now I have had no complaints. Please get rid on the Hispanic guy that is masquerading as a manager. I will drive a few more blocks to Publix for the next 20 years or so if you can’t find someone who can manage your store @ Lockwood ridge and 17th street. The Hispanic guy should be transferred to another store please. Thank you, Kenny

There is nothing that stands out about this place. You can get some great prices on meat if you are cooking all of it in a few days, but other then that is just average in all ways. Typically lines are long (As there are only 1-2 cashier at a time) so this is not a place to go if youre in a hurry. They have the only alcohol in the plaza and they do have hot food. Other then that, your average supermarket!

Not very good, I suspect this store is closing any day now. Very little product left in the store, and also the check outs are held together with duct tape and bailing wire. I tried to swipe my card and the card reader fell out of the bracket, the conveyor that moves your food to the cashier was broken and very dirty. What a disgusting store, I dont think it will be missed.
