Some of the staff are very rude. Sure, they help out the needy, which is why I am giving them 2 stars instead of one. But the food they give out are always expired. I went to them a few months ago, and I had to throw out 90% of what was given because they were all past the expiration date. I called to complain, and the supervisor I spoke to didnt care. Absolutely no empathy, no apologies. Tried to make excuses that those expiration dates are "recommended use by" dates. Im sorry, Im not feeding my child cereal thats 5 months past its date!! If you need food, or if you want friendly staff, youre better off going to Salvation Army or a local church.

The CEO is a wonderful person (named Karla Grimsley). The IES organization is one of the few listed in the city of Ocala that really tries to help people. I have seen help to the hungry from their food pantry. I have seen the feeding of the homeless. They have temporary residential housing for the homeless. I have seen them help many people (who need medical care) get medicine, and other limited medical help, through the Three Angels Clinic (partnership) they have on site at this time. I pray that they will continue to exist, so that they can help as many folks (and children) as possible.

They have a clothing shop for those in need that is free, no ID required that you can visit daily Mon-Friday I believe 9am - 3pm, but closed for lunch from 12-1pm. They have a soup kitched from 12pm - 1pm. I know they also offer other service but have personally never used their food distribution or other services. They truly are a blessing to the community and those in need, or that have fallen on hard times. They treat you very kindly for being in such a humbling experience to begin with.

I am not a person that asks for money. However me and my family had a little bump when we moved back to ocala. A family of 5. They filled my trunk up with food and even got us diapers and wipes. They were very helpful and did more than i expected anyone to do. Enough fokd for about 2 weeks and by the time i started runing low i had enough money to get food myself. Thank you interfaith. You really helped out a lot.
