Over the years, Brickell has become one of those South Florida attractions. Kind of like South Beach. And like South Beach or the Grove or the Gables or whatever else you can think of, its aim is to create an environment in which a patron can park, walk around, and, like casting a line while fishing a hundred times, hope that one of the places bites. And I mean, I guess it succeeds. I guess. I just feel that every place in Mary Brickell Village --- from Blue Martini to Fado to Burger & Beer Joint to the myriad faux Irish Pubs that keep popping up like the plague of the Middle Ages --- is more commercial than it is substance. What theyre selling you isnt a necessarily a quality product or even a worthwhile experience. Whats being sold is the overall theme, and that theme is, very simply put, "Miami." I dont know. I end up here every so often, but if youve read any of the handful of reviews that Ive proffered for Mary Brickells businesses, (save for maybe one or two) youll find that my feeling toward the area is largely lukewarm. Really, if youre looking to have a better, more low-key and, (gasp!) original time, make your way toward some of the surrounding establishments. Like Blackbird Ordinary or Tobacco Road.

I hate this place after a recent trip to the New Latin American Cafe ( a new addition to the Mary Brickell Village), I was greatly disappointed. In an area with lots up scale restaurants and great service to its customers this restaurant belongs in the streets of Little Havana. First off one word "Price gouging" clearly we are in Brickell, but from someone whos eaten at several Latin Americas around town, you notice when theres a four $ dollar mark up on a Cuban sandwich. So if we must pay for the area, at least the service should be up to par right? Negative. Clueless waitresses, rude managers, and the temperature inside must be at least 50º resulting in a cold meal your over-paying for. On my first and last visit, they brought out my friends meal 20 minutes prior to mine, not to mention the steak was not medium rare as she requested. When my food finally arrived it was cold, and they brought the wrong beans out and forgot the plantains. After waiting 10 minutes for the manager to appear she was rude and uncooperative. In conclusion I see this place closed within a year. Unless Brickell is really that desperate for a Cuban Meal during lunch with a minimal commute. I for one will not be returning.

Food: This plaza has some pretty good restaurants to choose from. They have Sushi and Japanese inspired food at Doraku, The best Burgers at Burgers&Beer, and Jimmys BBQ for some decent ribs, Mexican food at Rosa Mexicano and a few other places offering tapas. Location: A lot of construction is currently going on around this plaza, modern high rises and new shopping malls, this plaza needs to be renovated, it looks old when compared to its surroundings. But its in the middle of everything. Blu Martini is probably the most popular spot in this plaza.

The nightlife is thriving here in the epicenter of Brickell. This was the spot (before the City Centre was even a thing) for all kinds of restaurant dining in Brickell, and it remains that way. Daytime dining is much more relaxed here. They have small hole-in-the-wall shops where the prices skyrocket (pretty common for the area) for gourmet cupcakes and cardigans and swimwear. Theres also a Publix for those who live in the condos right above the bars and restaurants that are always lit well into the night.

This is an outdoor mall that was built in Brickell Village where temperatures during the summer time exceed, with the humidity factor, over a hundred degrees. Since there is no air conditioning in the open-air mall, the only comfortable place to go is inside the actual stores. This mall attracts a type of customer who doesnt believe in cleaning up after their dogs. So dont be surprised to find feces on the brand new floor as you walk through this 3 Square block sized mall.

This is a very nice get away from the typical south Florida fast life. It really feels suburb but is in the middle of the city. Theres some nice restaurants, bars, hotels, shopping district and even an LA Fitness. Theres even a few 24 hour nightclubs that are awesome (E11even and Space). Brickell is a cool Miami getaway if you dont want to go to South Beached to get scammed or come home bankrupt.

Great restaurant, great food, wine & drinks, great service, great management, great staff, etc.... You just cannot go wrong here -- whether for a casual cocktail, light snack or multicourse tasting menu, they nail it every time. I cannot say enough great things about TD. They have treated me like family since my 1st visit.

Its a pretty cool place with lots of restaurants, bars and places to shop. Whether your looking to hang out with friends, going out for dinner, or just shop or window-shop, youll find something youll like. The only downside is street parking is limited and parking in the garages can be expensive

My bicycle was stolen inside this facility, and it was well locked in one of their bicycle racks. The security said this has happened often, but Mary Brickell Village never installed cameras to prevent these thefts. Very frustrating! I will think twice before going to one of these shops again.

Awesome and right in the heart of downtown Miami. There is a large variety of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. This is the number one spot downtown... The clubs and bars are packed every evening and theres a lot of foot and car traffic... Parking is hard to find

For restaurants and bars this area is great. Shopping not so much. Good location be careful with high traffic. Easy pay parking and also once you park you can walk a few blocks around for many bars restaurants and shops at close by high end mall.

Most of the food in this location is terrible. Not to mention in the morning the number of unsavory characters asking for change, doing drugs or just basically urinating in corners. I do hope it changes as all the new buildings come online.

Brickle is a decent area. Nice shops and lots of more affordable places to eat. Only $2.50 uber/lyft share ride to South Beach. I recommend staying around here if visiting on a budget or dont want to spend a ton of more eating out.

Parking is expensive, and the elevators seem to be broken every few weeks. Also, the lunch time fire alarm tests arent exactly lovely. That being said, this has little to do with the actual retail accounts and restaurants in MBV.
