I had a horrible experience with this dealership. They sold me a 2012 ford focus. I had the car for 2 days when the check engine light came on. So they sent me to thier mechanic 30 miles away from my house. On my way to the mechanic the car stalls out right in the highway. I get to the mechanic and i turn out to be one of MANY drivetime customers there . The mechanic starts telling me everything thats wrong with the car. The guy standing next to me in line was going through the same thing with his drivetime car that he had less than two weeks. So with all that in mind, i decide to return the lemon. So after an entire day at the mechanic the car is ready to go . So i drive it back to lakeland which is about 40 miles from my house. I get up there and they tell me to return the next day. So i drive all the way home and all the way back the next day. I get there the next day and the "manager" tells me that i can go ahead and return the car however they are going to charge me for each mile i drove. I was outraged because the only places i was even able to drive the lemon was to the mechanic. So in the end out of my $600 down payment drivetime cut me a check for 385. Which is a total rip off because i only had the car for 2 days. And this all happened a week before christmas. So my suggestion would be to go to a trustworthy dealership. Because if you keep reading reviews youll start to see a pattern. In my opinion they take advantage of people with low credit and act like theyre doing you a favor when in reality they are charging 21% interest rate. So youll be paying $20,000 for a $9,000 car and to make matters worse youll probably end up paying for a ragged out rental car. And dont expect good customer service AFTER the sale. They will give you the run around. Take your time and money to a place that actually has quality cars because thats something this place doesnt offer.

I bought a 2008 aveo and I had it for 2 days and i called drive time and they told me to take it to amoco and I did I told them the air bag light is on and the tag light need to be fixed and the engine light is on and they said they will take care of it they kept my car for 5days and they called back and said the car is ready after 2 days the air bag light came back on the engine light came back on and the tag light never been touch the gift shift light never been fixed so i called avertz and they said tag light and my gift shift light take it to action alligator and I did they said it is the catalytic converter and they said adverts said take it back to amoco but action alligator fixed my tag light and my gift shift light but I had to pay 69 dollars for it I took it back to amoco the same day. They wanted to keep my car for 5 more days I said that is not right you supposed to already fixed my car he said the part they order was bad no appology the first attitude was bad the heard the conversation he said it would be all right if I could bring the car I asked him would it hurt the engine he said no the catalytic converter was just bad he said he would call when the part come in so 4days later I had to pay 201dollar to action gator because the car went to leaking water they said adverts said it was not under warranties anymore now I purchased the car October 16 2015 and now it is november3 2015 between drive time and adverts and amoco and action gator they gave me the run around and now as we speak I am still waiting on amoco to fixed my catalytic converter so no I will not send

I just purchase a vehicle just recently from DriveTime, I had been without an vehicle for about a month. And they way things was looking I thought I wasnt going to ever find a car. I believe if youre going to be making payments it should be something that you at least like...So I decided to try DriveTime it was my first time and everything worked in my favor. Amber was nice and she helped me. She even went the extra mile, by going to DriveTime in Orlando to pick up the vehicle I really wanted. The manager Alphonso was nice. Thanks Amber! Well I had to come back on......its February 20, 2016. So I took my car to go get checked out at Honda. The air filter and engine filter had not been changed in awhile. I dont know why when this should have been changed during the oil change. I paid $111 and some change. The car does have things that need to be done, but apparently the warranty doesnt cover that, I just dont think you should have just gotten a vehicle and you have things you have to fix. I dont care if it is used. I have already had a real bad experience with a car before this one I just dont want to go thru that ever again. Now I will say the Honda man said it was a good car. I just dont need another no good ass car in my life! I dont think people who sale cars understand that, you should never want to put a customer into something thats not right. Especially in my case I have kids, I need a good running car. Something I dont have to make repairs to later on down the road. DriveTime just start giving your cars a full inspection before selling.

I do not have the best credit and have a budget for a down payment and was referred by many to go to Drive time. I was approved on line which I assumed would take more in depth approving once at the dealership. I live 2 hrs from the closest one. I go to my appt. Iam told Iam apoproved shown the cars I can get , I choose one. I test drive it. I decide I want it. Iam told to come in sign and for 600 down I can drive off the lot. This is GOOD NEWS I have a family of 6 and we were in desperate need of a ca our car was on its last leg. I tell all the family were approved. I go in to sign and the sales lady says TO me after she had handed me the 3 sets of keys BTW Sorry I made a mistake you need 5000 down for that one. THis was the entire reason I drve 2 hrs to you I couldnt afford a high down payment and I didnt have the credit to get one with a low one I was guaranteed A loan. SO sadly Iam home no new car and IN the same place I was when I contacted them. Only Now I spent 80 dollars of the down payment on gas and eating on the wasted trip. I say DONT TELL SOMEONE THEY ARE APPROVED UNTIL YOU KNOW THEY ARE. No sorry No nothing sorry about my luck the sales woman was rude and very cold. I DO NOT wish this feeling on anyone. It hurts to get so exited to finally think you can have a car that is dependable.
