Only giving this a 2 because it was a different experience and liked the dipped wine! 1St off, I booked weeks ahead of time for my sisters bachelorette party for (10) girls and made a reservation. Most of us were running late so I sent the girls who were ready, up to "Better Than Sex" so that they would be there at our reservation time (6 P.M). I got a call from the girls that got there on time, telling me that the people were telling them, that they would have to cancel the rest of our reservation if we werent there in 10 min. I was a little mad at first, but thought, well theyre probably super busy so we have to hurry and go. When we made it there (6:20) to my dismay... It was empty except for our party and two other people. So why were they being so uptight about OUR reservation? On top of that..our group was separated into two separate tables that were about 5 feet from each other and were told that we cannot put them together. This probably wouldnt have been a big deal anywhere else but considering there was no light in the place except for candles ( it was super dark and the vibe was relaxed so we really couldnt be loud) and there was nobody else in the place, this really bothered me especially since I am the maid of honor and I am the one who planned all of this. Once again I let this go. One of the Bridesmaids ordered us all a shot ( that was to be on her bill) and we all ordered our drinks which we all really enjoyed. We were kind of in a rush so I asked the waitress if I could have the checks early. Not only did she take 20 minutes AFTER I ASKED HER, and two different occasions of reminding her about the checks to finally get them. Instead of putting all of the shots on one bill, she billed us all for the shots (that she was told more than once was supposed to go on the persons bill who ordered them). Ive worked in customer service and would have been sympathetic for the girl if she would have been nice about all the mistakes that she made and if it was busy. However, the fact that she was rude about it, is the reason she got no tip and the reason we will never be back. Genna C.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in Key West this past weekend. We made a reservation for Friday night dessert online, and wrote a note to inform them we were celebrating our special day. I found mixed reviews online about the pricing, and I was concerned that the staff was going to go overboard with sex talk. We were pleasantly surprised! The artwork on the walls was suggestive but tasteful. The dim lighting and ambiance set a romantic mood. Our backlit menu was neat, and we were also provided with a flashlight. There were conversation starter cards on each table - some silly, some sexy. Our server Michelle was excellent! She did not make a single sexual reference, which I appreciated. The menu item names are raunchy enough. We savored sparkling wine rimmed in white chocolate, then my husband enjoyed the Jungle Fever, while I ordered the award-winning Chocolate Grilled Cheese. They personalized my plate with a beautiful chocolate "Happy Anniversary" and expressed their gratitude for us choosing to celebrate our special occasion there. We found the pricing to be appropriate for the experience, and we would recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth who is comfortable with the innuendo.

The menu is strictly dessert and wines which we completely expected and the desserts were beautifully presented. The innuendo was childish more so than sexy. I had the banana bazooka and my wife had the missionary crisp. My dessert had very little banana flavor as the bananas used seemed green still. The sour cream in the tort was out of place and overall ruined the desert for me. The whipped cream had an almond or amaretto flavor to it that further pushed the flavor into obscurity. The caramel on the side was spectacular and far and away the best part of the desert. My wifes desert was bland and the apples mealy. The crisp was ok but substandard for the cost and expectation. Overall we were disappointed and for $40 Im sure there are better desserts to be had in Key West.

This place was like no other Ive been to. The atmosphere was very unique and romantic. The room was very dark, only lit by candle light if i remember correctly, but that just added to the intimacy. The drinks and deserts were very original, but what I really liked was the each table seemed to have a little box in the center that had a little game inside. I dont know what the other tables had but my box contained little placecards with about 150 questions you and your date could ask each other. This is a real good icebreaker, or if you are with someone you have known a long time is it good for a laugh or two. The service was amazing. Everyone worked together really well and it seemed there number one priority was customer service. Although they gave me my space, they were so courteous that by the time I left the place I felt I had known the staff for years. Was an excellent experience and I would recommend anyone in the keys stop in.

My wife and I have been there several times, as we had our wedding in Key West. We discovered Better Than Sex during our scouting trip, and immediately loved it. Delicious desserts, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff... perfect. The girls went there to kick off the bachelorette party while the guys stumbled in later to cap of the bachelor party. The next night, my new wife and I went there after dinner. It was crowded, being a Friday night, but the staff recognized us from the pervious night, warmly congratulated us, and assured us that they would get us the next available table for two. While we were waiting outside, the owner came out with some champagne (with strawberries in it!) while we were waiting. We received more champagne from our server after we finished our Dessert. This is one of our favorite places and we look forward to going there every time we visit Key West. Highly recommended!

WOW! Just wow! Excellent date night restaurant! The desserts are delicious and the drinks are great! The decorations are spot on, they totally set the mood. I also love that the menus are on tablets because if not you would not be able to see the menus because the restaurant is nice and dark, but not to dark. The service was awesome! They surprised me with a candle since i told them we were celebrating my graduation. Only con i would say is that the chocolate milk is not stirred with chocolate when they give it to you. All the chocolate is on the side of the glass and on the rim of the glass but its impossible to stir because the glass is long and chocolate gets all over your hand. But it wasnt a big deal. Loved this place and if me and my gf are ever in the keys we will be there again for sure!
