Cissy and Noel are amazing!!! I can not say enough about Things Very Special. Our wedding planner recommended Things Very Special for our wedding invitations. I was sold on a design I had found online but I was unsure of the quality of the product so my wedding planner recommended we go to Cissy with the design. We went in and met with Cissy and were instantly impressed. Cissy is extremely knowledgeable and will guide you on the right path until you are satisfied with the product. She was able to take the image online and transform it into something extraordinary. She deconstructed the design and built it back up with the best quality paper. Also, Cissy and Noel kept constant communication with us to notify us of the progress of the invitations. For an unsure bride like myself, Cissy was just perfect because she sat with us and showed us countless options until we were happy. The finished product is better than anything I could have imagined!! I am constantly getting phone calls/ text messages about how beautiful my wedding invitations are. I believe that the wedding invitation really sets the tone for the entire wedding so if you want the best then you must go to Things Very Special.

My wife and I ordered our Wedding Invitations from Things Very Special 10 years ago. We were so impressed by the quality and selection of their products and gifts that we go there to get as many things as we can. Be it from gifts for my clients, to birthday cards, we always have to check out Things Very Special first! Cissy and Noel are such a great team, able to provide quality, thoughtful gifts (I recently ordered some personalized stationery for a party that was very close. They were able to get it to me within a very very reasonable time). From our Wedding Invitations, to Birthday Cards and Birthday Gifts, to gift wrapping of our Christmas Gifts, to Christmas Cards and last years photo cards, this shop has it all! We are big advocates of supporting our local small business, and this one is one that we are proud to support. Now, with a 2 year old, and a baby on the way, we feel as Things Very Special is our family (we spend so much time in there). Never rushed, always full of QUALITY stock, and very service oriented, Things Very Special has a lot to teach other local business about surviving and being a part of the community. I sing their praises.

Words cannot say how wonderful Cissy and Noel are at Things Very Special. My fiance and I ordered our wedding invitations through the shop, as well as our personalized stationary, and will never order from anywhere else...and we live in Tampa! Cissy is phenomenal. She knows her business inside and out, can guide you through any etiquette question with kindness and care, and truly takes the time to figure out your style. Cissy isnt just an owner, shes an educator, who guides you through an important process that can often seem overwhelming. After spending an afternoon with Cissy, we had a STUNNING letterpress invitation that was customized. She makes everything personalized to you. Her follow up is prompt and efficient. She goes the extra mile in everything, even so much as contacting the printers to make sure the gradient on the invitation was perfect. She was also our level-head in the midst of the storm when our calligrapher fell through in the 11th hour, kindly printing the addresses on our invitations at last minute. You can trust Cissy to do the best for you, every time. Just fabulous!

I purchased birthday party invitations and immediately had buyers remorse. They were off-the-shelf invitations, not pre-printed or anything. They were $1.38 per invite, and once I got them home and took one out and looked at them in better light, the quality was bad. I called to ask if I could return them, and the woman was adamant that I could not. Unfortunately, I paid with a debit card, so the money was already out of my account, whereas if I had paid on a credit card, I could have simply had the payment stopped. Now Im stuck with these invitations that are such poor quality, and that I paid through the nose for ($38.00 for 26!). Seriously do not waste your time with this place. Next time, Ill go to Impressions, whose service is atrocious, but at least they have nice cards...

Three years ago I found this shop through the reviews. I ordered invitations from a site online and they turned out to be a disaster. Tentatively, I saw their reviews online and opted to go there to get my second batch of wedding invitations and they turned out to be exactly what I imagined. Honestly, I spent more time looking online and trying to get the issue fixed than the time I spent there. Since then I have purchased all my invitations and cards for every special event. I was just in there the other day and they are now bringing in local vendors. This place is a great find. never knew they have been open for 33 years. I highly recommend this place for invitations and unique kind of gifts. they also gift wrap.

After my fiance got frustrated with searching online, we jumped in the car and traveled around Jacksonville looking for a local place that sold wedding invitations. Three places were by appointment only, but we were lucky to find this place. Although there were 3 other couples, the guy who owns it was ready to assist. We did not feel like we were being ignored. Overall, he listened to our wants, taste and budget for our wedding, and went above and beyond! We picked them up today, and they were just what we wanted. They have a customer for life. I can see how they have been in business since the early 70s.

What a wonderful experience! Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions with honesty. I ordered my wedding invitations from them. I was so overwhelmed with all the different options and all the different varieties. They made it extremely easy. My mother purchased her wedding invitations here. So, when I proposed to my fiancee, there was no other place to get them. We were urged to go here. they have grown in selection. we spent an hour or so trying to decide which one...we had 4 choices. they are well versed in guiding us. if i did it myself, i know i would have gotten so much wrong. very good people,service and selection

I love the selection of gifts this store offers. Walking in, I thought they were a new store, but discovered they have been around since the 70s. The owner really focuses on local handmade items. He supports the art community of Jacksonville. The store is stocked full of invitations and gifts. Greeting cards made in Jacksonville. I love the service. Highly recommended
